I'm not trying to hate on women but I really need to throw this out there. I've been extremely swamped at work and nothing seems to get accomplished, ever. I've been spending way too much of my time playing referee to the endless bickering and cat fights that have been occurring between a bunch of the women I work with. And it's not just one issue, but a different one each day between different a different combination of the women and their cliques. And none of the issues ever have anything to do with work but it's always some personal bullshit driven by one of the ladies insecurities or another.

It's not even the lower level employees either. It seems the higher the title the worse the situation. And the problem isn't just this one location. I've been with the company for 14 years now and it's the same old story everywhere I go. It just seems to have been getting progressively worse.

I've come to the conclusion that most women just can't work together. Mainly because they just can't get along. What I've found in my years in the corporate office environment is that even if two guys don't like each other personally they can still work together successfully and get the job done. I've had many guys I didn't like or didn't like me and we dealt with it by coming out and saying it to each other, calling each other douche bags or whatever and moving on to get the job done. And even outside the office, if two guys have and issue and want to take it to another level and want to resort to the old parking lot issue, they fight it out and it's over.

Women don't do that. If a women doesn't like another woman there's rarely a face to face. There's an all out mission to destroy the "offending woman's" life though gossip, the recruitment of other women, the sabotage of the women whom they don't like work, the formation of cliques, cat fighting and crying which eventually lead to the meltdown.

Even when young girls get into a fist fight it doesn't end there. It begins there. The all out assault counter assault that is about to ensue would make hardened terrorists cringe.

But back to work..

All this ultimately leads to no work, no productivity, a miserable work environment for both men and women and just results in most of everyone's day being a huge waste of time. And in today's Human Resource driven corporate world where just pulling in the offending parties and telling them to cut the shit or get out is out of the question, the problem just gets worse and worse. And God forbid we actually make an example of the offending party or parties by firing them, even when there's a fucking mountain of evidence to the lies they're telling and tactics they're using.

I'm just tired of it. I'm 36 & going through a lot of changes in my life the past year. I just want to go to work and do my job without all the female melodrama bullshit.

To be fair it's not all women in the workplace, but it's way too many of them that act this way. The people who I work best with are the women who get it and are turned off by the melodrama as much as I am, so this is not a women don't belong in the workplace rant. More like a grow the fuck up and do you job rant.

Go where? I expect it's happening in most companies. Everyone is terrified of a lawsuit so it's easier to appease than solve.

It's not the women who have changed it's the corporate mentality. When I started 14 years ago these things still happened. They were just kept in check better because you could take the offending party to HR and there would be consequences for the offending party. There was a level of right and wrong. That doesn't exist anymore. Maybe in a small business it's still there. But not in a mega corporation with law departments

It is the ruthless part that I do not understand.

We were all sitting out on a beautiful summer night, last night, having a "think tank" about this subject.

One of the lady's had worked for 6 years in 2 different, extremely high stress areas...along came some barracuda who did not like her & BOOM! There went her paycheck and all of her benefits.

Granted, there are sociopaths everywhere, but the power some folks like to yield is baffling.
