Ridiculous signing. The guy got knocked on his ass last year in a preseason game, and the few real games he has ever been in he looks totally overmatched. Plus, this will internally convince Mike McIdiot that he does not need to draft ANY OL this year (again). What's next, bring back super scrub Dakota Dozier for a SIXTH consecutive year of sitting on the bench????
lol! I usually do not find things referencing Sam getting plowed into the ground funny but for this one singular instance I think I'm going to make an exception. Now.... lets hope the Jets draft some OL help and Qwally doesn't need to make the team. They can splurge for cab fare to get him and Tomlinson off the premises.
Draft day has to be as "big" for Mac as his top FA signings..from what I hear getting into the second round is where the Lineman this draft Prob going to shop for the rookies to protect Darnold or shop for work one day
My goodness that is a whole lot of whining for a depth signing barely above the vet min, with barely anything guaranteed. He's not a bad depth player, and has more than a 'few real games' under his belt. I'm willing to bet you've never actually keyed on him, but just want to feign outrage anyway.
As I stated, MacCagnan has drafted a grand total of TWO OL in the last 4 years and both in round 5. Meanwhile, the Patriots have draft EIGHT OL the past 4 years. Mac won't draft OL because he relies on scrubs like Qvale and Dozier. Whose approach to the OL (Pats v. Jets) do you think works better?
You are correct of course but the Pats are helped by picking up good players in free agency, reducing the need to draft certain positions, allowing them to focus on the OL. All of the above is just a maybe scenario
