Sounds like Brown and Tomlinson will be battling for the blocking TE spot. Surprised team isn't kicking the tires on ASJ.
Looking forward to more Eric Tomlinson screen passes. Sure it seems like they don't work most of the time, but when they do, that 15 yard gain is sweet.
I'm usually not anti-player but honestly I kind of wish he had gone and gotten a job somewhere (anywhere) else. This guy just seemed to come up with penalties at the most soul crushing times and I'd like to see his spot and action go to somebody with maybe a little more promise and hope for upside. Heres to hoping he wins me back over I guess.
He certainly seemed to regress last season, the season before he seemed to catch a few surprise balls and do his blocking fine, last season just a nightmare all round.
A nightmare all round. Well said. I fully realize as a casual fan watching on TV I probably missed dozens of nice blocks and stuff that he did but my god..... the stuff you do notice him on it was almost like he was a paid agent to sabatoge the Jets offense. Catastrophic penalties, I remember multiple just terrible drops. Just awful.
So as soon as he comes in the other team knows it's run. How does a guy earn a living as a TE - that position being known as [art of the pass receiving corps - and not be able to catch a pass?
Another stupid resign, just like Qvale. Neither one of those guys could even sniff another team's roster-- Mike McCagnan sure knows talent, doesn't he?
