Our social media content has sucked for years. With this Bell signing we've been on fire.

Really? Then why is he flipping through his contract? Unless it's a diagram to The New Dump so he can find his way around. It looks like Mosely and Crowder also have pens in their hands. I've seen that many times before and it's not the least bit objectionable. Neither is the Bell thing. I just thought it was funny given all the hubbub in here.

Some uplifting news and I'm not sure if it's been noted in here, but it turns out Mr. Diplomat himself, Sir Curtis Martin, was really pulling for Bell with management (such as it is) and has made an informal open promise to counsel/mentor Bell and keep him on the straight and narrow i.e. How To Keep Your Fckn Mouth Shut 101. I'm down.

Martin is a rare breed. If Bell hasn't gotten it by now he may never...still if he rushes for 1200 and catches 70 passes....I can put up with some BS here and there

But Martin is an all time great. Barkley and Bell and I'm sure a bunch of others grew up revering him. Maybe having him around will hel[p

    What?

He can't just like the kid? Sam I mean.
I like him...plenty of people in the "biz" like him.
    He's likable.
The fact that we're getting positive coverage for once is...well, a positive.

btw...when Baker appeared on his show it was must see tv.

    Ouch.

    Why is he "garbage"?

He reaches a lot of listeners/viewers.

Me and my stories, well you have at least one of your own on your resume. When you trolled Jim Rome mercilessly years ago when he was first starting out (a message board that had no moderation). "What's wrong with your ear?" "Why does your head look like a mushroom?" Then everyone started talking all things mushrooms. The mushroom cloud over Hiroshima, fungus, and Jim Rome's head. Didn't he freak out like TALKHOST or something? Hahahaha. Yep, I remember that one. Long term memory scary sharp, short term memory for crap. Comas and tigers and bears, oh, my!

Bell was also running behind a very good offensive line. If he can duplicate that production I will be very impressed, but either way it takes a boatload of pressure of Darnold and that is a good thing.

Now Macc just needs to pull another Osemele type of trade and get a center.

He probably has his eyes on a center in the draft.

There's nothing wrong with liking Darnold. Romo likes him, Orlovsky likes him, etc. I like him too. But Cowherd isn't sincere with his opinions. He goes out of his way to praise Darnold and bash Mayfield, not because he genuinely believes what he's saying, but because he knows the controversy gets him attention.

He is in love with the legend of himself, so in love with it that there isn't a shred of integrity in his sports takes if there is a conflict with that "legend". His personal image is the only thing important on that show.

:) Good memory. Jim Drone is another perfect example of this.

^Every time I hear Jim Rome talking annoying shit in that annoying shit voice of his, it comes to mind. It's Proustian without the smell.

The best part of his show is the ridiculous amount of dead air he somehow gets away with.

    That's kinda his job.

He gives Baker plenty of credit for his game.
Is he over critical of his off field antics?

    Yeah maybe...

I worked on a show of his for 5 years.
The producers tried to keep us apart...lol.
They'd get nervous when he was in my edit suite.
Rome is pretty intense...and I guess I am as well.

Say what you want about his stuff now...I don't follow him...but he was a stand up guy.

    I've got stories...

I know it's his job. He's probably a cool guy in real life. But on air he's a jackass and more importantly his takes are useless because he isn't even trying to be right.
