I just posted in another thread we'd resign Folk. Catanzaro fine. Was good two years ago. That's why I wasn't worried about losing Myers knew we'd find a capable guy. Don't think kicker concerns me now since we are not a consistent playoff team. Maybe when we lose a game because of the kicker I'd be more concerned. Didn't Catanzaro knock the Jets or the stadium on the way out?
Cantanzaro has a big leg....we'll need it when we play Roberts & the Bills. Don't want any kickoff returns I wanted him back last year. He had some rough sledding with the bucks last year. Hopefully he returns to 2017 form which was pretty good.
Agreed. We’ve seen kickers have big years a lot then vanish. It’s fair to say Myers likely had his best year. I don’t at all disagree w Mac not paying him based off of it. He was awesome for us, but the chances of him being a consistent all pro are small given the nature of the position.
Don’t worry about his kicking down in Tampa Bay, they all suck down there. You could have Justin Tucker or Adam Vinatieri playing in Tampa and they would blow, it’s like a well known curse.
Now if it was the tenth thread saying he had signed I would understand fully but... Anyway, he was a decent kicker last time he was with us and hopefully, he will be again.
I don't like this guy. He's mostly known for missing the game winning kick for the Cardinals against the Pats in week 1 a couple of years back. Should've brought back Myers.
Ok. One down and the life of the kickers. You are a hero one game and and goat the next. Hopefully he will be more than good and win some games for us! We should see a lot of close games next season and it will be on Darnold moving down the field and our kicker kicking through the uprights. If he doesn’t, MAC will find someone.
