Settlements with absolutely zero culpability happen all the time.

    You don’t know that? Hmmm....

So we’re to assume only one and not the other? Well I want everyone to assume MY opinion instead!

Just seems to me like there’s plenty of evidence mounted that suggests collusion. Hopefully we’ll know one day so conversations like this never even have to be started.

You’ve stated that there was evidence of collusion and now plenty of evidence mounting of collusion when there has never been any such showing.

    Ever.

So I’m just going to blatantly state there was evidence of no collusion.

    That’s how this works.

    Classic Stokes pissing contest here.

Good for Kaepernick, I’ll leave it at that.

Good for the NFL that this fraud is now old news.

He really turned out to be the social
justice warrior everyone built him up to be.

    Oooop$.

The thing to note here is the NFL never backs down and never settles. They have the best lawyers money can buy. They grind and wear down other lawyers. To settle things must have been very bad for the NFL. They never admit fault or give in. It is bad for us that we did not get a trial to see all the owners and FO employee texts and emails. One can only imagine how damning and embarrassing these documents were.

That being said I can't blame Kap and Reid for taking the money. It could be their last chance for a big payday and set themselves up for life. While some might be upset with them for taking the money and not fighting and having a public trial they have to realize these two have given up huge amounts of money already by standing up for the rights of others. At some point they need to protect themselves and their families

So you have seen the evidence of the collusion? And here I thought the settlement was sealed. And no, the fact he wasn't signed is not evidence of collusion.

If it was clear, why didn't Kaepernick continue on with the suit instead of settling? He clearly would have received much more than what he settled for, if there was clear evidence of collusion.

With all due respect. The protests and charity based operations are one thing and the collusion against the league is a separate battle. Kap did a lot for the community.

Kap wanted his wages back. I think that's all it was. At worst he should've been a backup. Nathan Peterman is all the collusion evidence you need.

Matt Cassel is STILL in the league for Heaven's Sake. The owners definitely got together on Kaepernick. He deserved this money

The Pats never spied on the Jets. We know this because the tapes were destroyed by the league. The compensation was just because.

    http://www.nea.org/home/73664.htm
    Minneapolis - July 01, 2018 -

First Lady Michelle Obama and the Know Your Rights Camp, founded by professional quarterback and racial and social justice advocate Colin Kaepernick, were among the dozen recipients of the prestigious National Education Association Human and Civil Rights Awards.

The merger of the National Education Association and the American Teachers Association in 1966 produced the annual NEA Human and Civil Rights Awards. Since the merger, NEA has recognized and honored educators, individuals, community partners, and organizations that are advancing the mantle for human and civil rights.

"The human and civil rights champions we honor tonight are the epitome of the fierce urgency of now that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., spoke about in his ‘I have a Dream speech,’" said NEA President Lily Eskelsen García. "Through their deeds and actions, they have demonstrated remarkable courage and conviction to stand up for racial and social justice. They have shown an unrelenting resolve and ferocity to make a real difference for public education, students and our nation’s future. They are shining examples of social justice activism, fighting against injustices every day, and making sure that our great nation lives up to its promise."

I congratulate Kaep on keeping his promise on the million dollars, donating his time and energy to the community he supports and most importantly bitch slapping the President, Jerry Jones, Bob Kraft and the Commissioner in arbitration.

The protests initially LED to him throwing his career away and his claims of collusion, to say they had nothing do do with each other is illogical. Having "a lot" to do with him community is an irrelevancy. He was rightfully not hired--wanting wages for somehthing he didn't that he brought on himself is silly. Social justice warrior my ass, with all due repect.

You can be of the opinion that there was collusion.

You can be of the opinion that there was evidence of collusion.

You can't say to a certitude that there WAS collusion just like I can't say there was no evidence of NO collusion (in addition to which you can't really prove a negative).

Because there was no evidence of anything.

    Just opinions.

    And THERE you go.

Why didn't you just lead with that?

Huge difference between the two outcomes

He bitch slapped them but you don't even know what the settlement is? And a question I have asked a couple of times, if you are so sure Kaepernick's side had control of the situation, "bitch slapping" the NFL, why then wouldn't he have continued on and gotten a lot more money?

And gotten the league fined a billion dollars that then could have been put towards more social warrior programs--maybe even kept alive Kaep's award winning camp https://knowyourrightscamp.com/about-us/

How do you know if he won outright in court he would have gotten more? You don't know what he got. There's also a cost in time and money in pursuing a law suit that has to be considered. Why would you want to waste your time pursuing it if you were compensated?

In the US damages are paid with money as compensation. He got compensated with money and settled.

Why do you hate Kaep and suck up to NFL management? Why, why, why...

People don't like those that go away from the norm.

The only fact is that being employed by the NFL is completely performance based. Outside of your violence and drug offenses.

Protests during the anthem should not have been the reason he was blackballed by the league (in which he was). He technically did not break the rules for protesting. You want to talk irrelevance, where there it is. Why was he not in the league?

Again, NFL is performance related and he should've had a job. That's all there is to it. He was performing well enough to be on a roster. What he did during the anthem should've had nothing to do with it.

Al Davis and hundreds of athletes say hi (if they could).

The NFL settles all the time when it makes most monetary sense to do so.

Making Kaep a distant memory made sense at this point.
