I'm sensing hostility towards the working man coming from you.

Don't hate because I can't/choose not to plaster my behind in front of the tv for nine hours straight on Sundays or stay up until midnight watching the overall crummy product the NFL is putting out these days.

    Not cool man.

I’m a working man. Have been my whole life. At one point hours you could not have imagined.

I typically only express opinions about things I am familiar with.

You’ve stated multiple times you don’t watch football and now HBO but you sure seem to have a lot of opinions. Really negative opinions.

About things you are unfamiliar with.

Because you work. Long hours. To pay the bills.

That, to me, isn’t very cool.

    Man.

So now on top of having a deep seeded hostility towards working people/people with more important things to do than marathon NFL watching sessions now you're making things up too?

So in addition to not watching football you have deep seated hostility towards farmers?

    Not cool man.

Guys. Apparently you don't see eye to eye. I hope one of you can let it go. Having the last word really isn't that sexy you know.

Hardknocks is almost shameful programming because of the structure and requirements that it is based on.

Loser teams, year in and year out, are on this show.

You dont see teams that are consistently winning on this show for a reason.

Fuck entertainment, you know how this team will entertain me?

Get to the playoffs, win a fucking superbowl.

Settling for the circus isnt the way to go. IMO.

The show is trash, if it was equal, and based on an even rotation for ALL teams, then, I would be more inclined.

    It's not though.

I dont want the Jets anywhere near this show.

again, you dont see winning teams anymore on the show because its a rule. if you make the playoffs you dont have to go on it. It's also been analyzed and for the most part it doesn't hurt or help teams. Some have better seasons when they are on hard knocks, some don't. Which I think proves that it literally doesn't affect a team's performance on the field at all - https://www.si.com/nfl/2018/05/17/hard-knocks-team-history-cleveland-browns

The best coach in NFL history, the guy with his name on the Super Bowl trophy, Vince Lombardi would've been a big fan of the show coming to his team. He used to say he preferred when there were lots of cameras at practice because it made the guys practice harder.

    1) Where is the rule that says a winning team cant request to be on the show? If this isnt a rule that winning teams are forbidden to be on the show, then this rule doesn't change anything. It still means that NONE of the consisten teams that win on a regular basis want to be on the show. There is an obvious reasoning behind that.

    2) Please refrain from speaking for someone you know nothing about personally. You take a quote and act like you know for sure what his feelings would be towards this show in today's day and age. Stop. You can assume. Doesnt mean it's TRUE.

Anaylized that it doesnt help or hurt a team? What statistics did you use to conclude this? What does it matter in the end anyway?

    My personal opinion and view.

I see a bunch of consistently losing teams circulating on this show. Its drama based and they manipulate many scenarios for the view factor. When I watch other teams on the show, I view those teams as laughable most the time. The show to me is laughable. Our team has been laughable for a long time, I would rather this team not contribute further to that personally.

It’s been posted numerous times on this website and even in this very thread, the rule about playoff teams being exempt from the show.

The rest is your silly opinion, I guess I can’t argue with it, or at least I won’t. I don’t give a shit really. Believe what you want. It just seems pretty silly to me

I have read it. It's not required for those teams to participate in Hard Knocks. They can not be forced to do so.

They CAN put a request to be on the show though. They are not RESTRICTED from the show. Big difference.

So, again.... I'm assuming there is a reason that NONE of these elite teams are chopping at the bit to have their team on the show. Think about it...

    That's the beauty of perspective.

I think you really struggle with reading comprehension or you struggle with taking in the full context of a debate.

    Either way...

I think my points are solid, all the while, I think your reasoning and views are weak.

    See... Power of perspective.
