Oh boy. A certain poster is going to lose his mind when he reads this thread title. Take cover! I like Crowell, but there’s a top tier RB on the market and that needs to be the focus from the minute free agency opens.
Crowell gone,Spencer gone,Carpenter likely gone.. Looks like the jets are forcing themselves to intently address the offense FINALLY
no to bell, we have enough drama on this team. imo the money would be better spent on other needs. OL, LB, CB, WR, RB.
He can be replaced.......I never viewed him as a starter anyway. Looks like the Jets are going to be very active in regards to the RB position. I think they'll sign one in FA and draft one probably around the third round. If they sign Bell probably a lower round.....
I'm not saying it's a good idea, but I wonder if the Jets (or the Jaguars) would consider the Jets trading the #3 pick to the Jags (so they can pick a QB) in exchange for the #7 and Fournette.
I'm guessing they would rather get a couple of high draft picks out of moving down to #7....replace that second rounder they lost in the Darnold trade. This is a good draft to stock up on second and third round picks....
Finally, a hole we need to fill. I wondered what we were going to do with all the draft picks we have.
If it’s Coleman it has to be someone else too. Bring back Powell? Coleman and Ingram? Coleman is not the answer
McGuire projects as a solid backup/ change of pace IMO We really need to get Bell though...He would help Darnold and the offense so much This team just needs more talent period, and he’s a good piece for that
Meh, McGuire is a jag with a few good plays. 3.0 yards per carry isn’t what I call a change of pace back. I wouldn’t say no to Coleman but if we are going in to next year with Coleman and McGuire as the run game I think we are putting Sam in a tough spot. No team would respect those two.
Agreed. McGuire is average at best, and if he's our second guy next year then we better have a stud carrying the ball 20 times a game. There's only one of those available, and we need to get him. Coleman/McGuire does nothing. There is no homerun threat, neither of them are exactly power runners... you're going to have to bank on them finding holes in the run game if you want production from your RBs. They aren't playmakers. Coleman as a pass-catcher is, but we need a legitimate RB for Sam.
