I think it will be internet for us - I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere. On of the more obscure sports channels on satellite might carry it, but I no longer subscribe to Sky. From the AAF website: We are building technology that changes the way fans consume and interact with sports and television, starting with the Alliance of American Football – a professional football league that works in partnership with fans and players. We are building a digital technology team to build streaming video systems, data, mobile, desktop, and OTT apps that integrate the best of TV with the best of the internet. We are building a broadcasting team that thinks about new ways to innovate around how to tell the story of a live sporting event. Sounds like they plan on offering games via streaming, but I haven't yet found out any details and there isn't much time left for them to build those services.
It's a shame there isn't a team called the Mobile Infantry. That would be a nice little rivalry. "Army does the dying, Fleet just does the flying.'
I watched a grand total of 5 minutes of the XFL (probably 15 if you count intro and commercials ) ...... I'm not anticipating much more from this until they give a reason to
Love that movie! One of the great sci-fi's of all time. I love the line "Mobile Infantry made me the man I am today." (says soldier with no legs in wheelchair and a prosthesis for one arm.)
Yep. It’s a classic. I saw it again just a couple of weeks ago and I was amazed at how the special effects stood up. It still looks great.
Not a bad game so far. Helps take the edge off of the withdrawal symptoms. If it becomes a developmental league for future NFL players and coaches as they are hoping, that can only be a good thing. Interestingly, NFL Network is carrying tomorrow nights game.
Agreed. I am relatively entertained. As long as they stick to trying to form a partnership with the NFL as a type of farm system/training ground like NFL Europe and don't get crazy and try and compete, this league may have some legs......
That's what I have, too. I fell asleep on the couch watching a movie a little before 8 o'clock because I'm working on a cold. Been watching for about ten mins. now. Looks better than half-way decent. The distance between the markers look shorter? I dunno, still half out of it. All I know is that the officiating is probably a million times less shitty than the NFL, but I still had to see a Tom Brady commercial. EDITED FOR
Who is Nelson (#9), the QB for SD Fleet? Got a little exciting there, but he just threw a classic Chimp (Mark Sanchez) INT. And guess who intercepted it? A guy named Sanchez.
nice play by the corner. quality of play is solid for teams that have been essentially put together with very little practice time
Nelson out, Marco Bercovici in for Nelson, trips for a first down. F-L-E-E-T, FLEET, FLEET, FLEET, FLEET!
I'm unofficially rooting for SLC (punk). A passionate fan base with no football team, cool colors, so we'll see.
