I heard about this. It's actually rather brilliant. Sewer treament plants use reverse osmosis for drinking water, but this is different because they're actually doing something with the poop itself and the process is very different. Overpopulation and human waste are the two biggest contributors for contaminated and unsafe drinking water (next on the list is livestock/slaughterhouse waste/animal farming/rendering plants, but human beings are A number one). Just looking at the River Ganges makes me ill. I'm surprised that people's skin doesn't melt off, and ya just gotta love all of the rotting corpses floatin' on by. Brazil has a very serious contaminated water crisis. Human waste and raw sewage flat out gushes into the water ways. I can't believe that the whole population of Rio hasn't been decimated from people getting dysentery and shitting themselves to death. Same thing with certain parts of Mexico and other numerous places and cities around the world. They have a bit of an immunity to it, but a non-native, you're definitely getting dead one way or the other, whether it's parasites, typhus, cholera, guinea worm disease, pick your poison. There are hundreds of them. This could really help out areas/nations that have no access to clean water or running water. But I digress. Eat shit and fucking die!
