Makes sense for both teams unless we fall in love with one of the pass rushers now that we signed Gregg Wiliams. Draft trade chart shows that this would be an equal trade.

We gave 3 2s to make that deal last year and now we only get a 2 in return?

You are right. Need at least a future first or one other 2nd rounder since this is a weak draft class.

I'd take their first and second this year and a 2nd next year. That was still less than what we paid to the Colts last year.

    To go from 6 to 3 I would take their(there,they’re ?) 1st,2nd 4th and next years 2 and 4.
The problem the way I see to though is picks 1 and 2 are up for sale as well so I don’t expect much in the way of offers for the 3.

If the giants are the highest bidder for our pick and bosa and Allen go 1 & 2 we shoul absolutely make a deal. I don’t get this hang up with the hating the giants. They have such a small impact on us getting to the super bowl.
And I grew up in a house of giant fans.

If the first and second picks both go QB, we get Nick Bosa. I'm cool with that.

If they selected Kyler Murray in that trade up, I would die laughing

Who cares about the Giants? They aren't even in our conference. It's better than helping a team in our conference or division get their QB. I can see the motivation there, but the Giants mean nothing.

It matters what helps the JETS. This is just reality where the Jets have many holes to fill and could use some extra early picks to bolster the offensive line.

If a qb goes 1 or 2 I’m not sure I am in a rush to trade down. Allen or bosa would be just fine with me

I'd trade down with those blue fuckers, but it'll come at a price. They're the establishment, so make 'em pay.

Great job by OP for making the title sound like it actually happened. I got all worried at first thinking we made a stupid trade.

Macc just traded the #6 for #3 and gave up a lot more than a single 2nd. Giants would have to at least match what he gave up in 2018 or no deal.

Whatever the chart says plus value if they’re coming up for a QB.

This is precisely was Macc admitted he had to do so I would expect he has the same asking price.

Also these QBs are not Mayfield or Darnold, so I’d deal with the Giants in a heartbeat without fear one of these guys comes back to haunt me.

You can't make thread titles that look like the trade actual happened. Properly edited!!!

In a weak draft class, high picks come with premium. If the Giants want to trade up, they had better be ready to cough up more than just that.

1/2 this year and 1 next year will seal it for me. Nothing less.

Yeah thats true, but teams tend to still reach for whichever QB is in the class. Were also probably going to ask for less than they did. The main thing is that I want a 2nd rounder for this year because Mac needs a full draft of 7 picks to potentially make a big impact. Of course whatever picks they can get for next year too is a big plus.
