Gase needs to make this happen. We have to have one qualified person coaching this team. Pairing Gase up with Vance Joseph again is just a depressing prospect.

Williams coaching the D and Gase coaching the O, I can at least envision some good game plans and certainly a lot of intensity.

In order to calm the noise, this team is going to have to come out swinging.
Need a top 10 D, and a huge next step from Darnold.
Otherwise it may get ugly quick.

I think Gase needs Williams to help get this off the ground.

I think we need a good edge rushing OLB (Allen), and for Lee to either step up or be replaced.
The rest of the pieces are there for the 3-4 or hybrid.

Going straight 4-3 would make some pieces we currently have less effective, and imo is not as good a defense to be creative and aggressive with.
I'd have a hard time switching for no reason.

Something tells me he's not that mellow when coaching the players.

  8. Thats a team thats gonna be hard edged w a nasty attitude.Attention detail, communication & intensity would nlt be an issue.

Id also expect the 11 on 11’s in TC to be extremely fierce & competitive.

Now will they get along? LOL maybe its not a bad thing if they dont to sort of keep eachother in check.Could it be toxic? Of course.

In all seriousness, I think the 2 of these guys together is bad juju - Gase/Williams

I'd much rather have Pagano as the DC, he has experience as a head coach, and I'm down with any former Ravens DC.

Even though he's on the other side of the ball, it helps to have a guy on the staff that has experience with a star rookie QB (Luck). He's got quite a few suitors though :/.

Oh please, it’ll be just like year 2 of every other coach you’ve seen hired here

Good news. Certainly eases the blow of the Gase hire.

I'm on board with Gregg. Better than a Miami-Vance reunion.

This is good. The Jets continue to upgrade their coaching staff. Fans have been upset, but most would agree Gase>Bowles, Williams>Rodgers, anyone>Bates. Hopefully Brant Boyer stays. Can't upgrade that position. Great season.

You have to assume some sweeping changes are coming to the defense, which I'm fine with. This probably keeps Leonard around though, which I'm also fine with.

I just can't wait to go to training camp this summer. Going to be damn fun with Jamal and Gregg Williams screaming every two seconds.
