SANCHEZ leading that touchdown drive!! Amazing! (reminds me of 09, carried by oline and running game)
And Sanchez is KILLING it--on is FIRST PLAY. Did you see that handoff--90 yard TD run by AP. My quarterback.
CBG posted this hilariously funny buttcident in the Jets forum. It will probably get moved to this forum or merged with this. I had missed this play, so I spit out my coffee when I saw his thread. I'm surprised the poster @Brandon Moore's Butt had nothing to say about it.
I saw it live and thought, "geez, sanchez will never get away from buttfumble with this to add to it."
^Definitely keeping it alive. Well, at least I can take small consolation that the buttfumble wasn't on purpose. Anyone remember when Gus Frerotte headbutted the wall after a TD vs. the Giants in the late 90s? He frigged up his neck, had to be taken to the hospital, and the game wound up being a tie. Darwin Award for that one. Sanchez, it was just horribly embarrassing, but it's something that he'll never be able to live down. The mental recoiling from that play, it was like someone farted during a funeral and you heard it reverberating everywhere. In a Cathedral. With great acoustics. Bart Scott said on the radio the other day that Nacho is back. And he called him Nacho. "I'm rooting for Nacho. Sanchez. Old teammate. Whoever thought he'd be back in the saddle again as a starter." Who indeed. The Sanchize, I hope he lights it up just so I can laugh. Speaking of buttfumbles in a closing shot, the only thing more embarrassing than the real thing was when Sanchez was vaping and partying with two girls in that idiot headband of his, pulled his pants down, and did some hairy monkeybutt dance. WARNING!!! Not really. Video no longer available; but I half-regretted/half-rejoiced clicking on the link back in the day. It was hilariously bad. This was the best I could do. EDIT: BUT WAIT! I come through! Sort of. It's kind of like trying to find that infamous Bob Kraft/Ricki Lander audition tape. You'll never find the full version again.
He didn't even know some of the receivers names and threw inside instead of outside, outside instead of inside, etc. Not really very surprising. 28-13 it could've been worse. Two broken legs, Alex Smith and then McCoy so Sanchez got shoved on the stage not in the least being expected to. That Smith injury, though, yeesh, talk about gross out nasty. It was Joe Theismannesque. Don't watch if you have a weak stomach. I hope Sanchez does well against the Giants, because I, uh, I hate the Giants.
I heard he got benched today. Giants were up 31-0 at one point. He may have blown his last shot to stay in the NFL.
It appears that the Mark Sanchez era in Washington will end with him having played at a Peterman-like level: 19/35 (54.3%), 3.9 YPA, 0 TD, 3 INT, 28.0 passer rating. Not sure anyone could have saved this sinking ship, but still some real brilliance from the geniuses who decided to bring him in. Dan Snyder is as bad an owner as the Johnsons are.
No, he's too different a quarterback from what they had before. You know, it's not like he could go into an offense designed for Alex Smith and have any kind of success or anything.
