I will refrain from blaming the QB's anymore when this offense is rudimentary. Q coming out and basically saying the offense is God awful from a coaching standpoint is all I need to know. The coaching has been putrid.
Agree on the coaching being putrid, but McCown looked like a shell of the guy who did so well last year. It was painful to watch.
Calls out Baker in a post where he says he's running away like a little cunt because no one agrees with him ... not shocking at all.
Takes shot at posters on here who liked Baker, you know the fanboys, I read it earlier and tbh I have been ignoring the spat as I had a huge row with him pre-draft about it and it wasn't worth it again but I must admit his sly dig buried deep in his Studs and Duds thread was a bit shitty and frankly uncalled for. Strange guy at times, alright on most subjects not involving Baker
He surely must be rusty as hell and his body probably aches like fuck, I know mine did by that stage of life after a lifetime of sport lol
Don’t mean to nitpick but any QB that throws 3 INTs is having a Nathan Peterson like game? I don’t recall Nate throwing for near 400 yards against a good Texans defense. Allen and Jackson vs the Texans defense will product the same results. Just watch what Sam does against them. They are legit.....
I don't think McCown should be considered a Dud though because he is a 39 year old proven loser. It's not his fault the Jets decided to pay him $10 million or start him the last 3 weeks. That is on the Jets!
Dud: Those Titan uniforms. Holy crap what an abomination. Incredibly awful look. And the funny thing is, that won the design contest. Adults sat around a table and said “yep, let’s go with this shit”. If we get a new design like that I will projectile vomit.
At least the Titans' previous look was pretty bad too. Our unis are good enough that I'll be pissed if Nike ruins them.
So the guy who has been defending the indefensible finally has argued himself into a corner so is leaving because everyone else is "too pissed and emotional?" He finally understands that Bowles and Bates are simply not qualified but rather than stand and admit it slinks away blaming everyone else here. Not a word either about the Ten Million Dollar Mentor who he argued just a few days ago is a bargain who'll be around for years "mentoring" for a pittance. When you write something here right, wrong or in between just own it. You're entitled to your opinions, as screwed up as they may be, but when you belligerently attempt to pass them off as truisms you've crossed a line that makes you hide when you're proven wrong. And the moment the first round draft pick was announced I stopped caring about Mayfield until the Jets play him on the Browns or elsewhere.
Stud Trumaine Dud Trumaine Pick six to start the game, stupid penalty to extend the game losing drive
Studs: 1. Todd Bowles: Secures #3 pick for now. Potential for #1 2. Other good players: see the post above. 3. Green Bay Packers: We will enjoy winning season with Mike McCarthy and Sam Darnold for years to come - especially after Cheating Tom and Belicheat retires. Duds: 1. Mariota: Don't throw pick 6 to this team. This team needs L more than anything. P.S. If 9 Playoff appearances in 11 years with 1 SB ring is not good enough for you, I don't know what is good enough for you. Jets had what, 49 tries after SB 3? Let's not even go there. How many winning seasons did we have? Under Todd Bowles?
I'm still unsure about McCarthy. I wish I could see him coach some games without Rodgers but also without a total scrub in there. I'd prefer one of the Harbaughs as far as retreads go but if they're off the table I'd consider McCarthy. Though his conservative nature, unlike say Andy Reid, concerns me considering how the league has changed in the last few years.
