Hypothesis: You need to get over trying to find ways to stay "Unhappy".... because this idea is total FAILURE
Do you also see dead people? And if Allen didnt get hurt or we didnt want to trade a possible FQB to a team in our division? This is nonsensical, we made a good deal, the best one at the time. You take it and you never look back.
HYPOTHESIS: The Patriots would send a 1st Rounder for Sam Darnold. They need a QB of the future. Brady can't play forever. A 2nd Rounder for Jamal Adams would be good. Help their secondary. A 3rd Rounder for Leonard Williams too. Beef up that D-line! Maybe even the Dolphins would send a 3rd Rounder for Avery Williamson. The Bills need a QB, so a 2nd Rounder for Josh McCown makes sense. He can help teach Josh Allen the ways of the NFL while he gets healthy. Miami does need RB help, so I say package Crowell/Powell for a 4th round pick. Look at all the picks the Jets are getting for helping out division rivals! Love it! Great job, Mac!
We still have people bitching that Macc turned a minimal financial investment into a third round pick? Couldn’t imagine being that miserable. Especially considering it made all the sense in the world to trade him when we did and to who we did.
Wouldn't this need to be testable to be considered a hypothesis? And why would Mac trade Teddy to a team in our division where he would face us twice a year?
Not for nothing, but when this trade was made with New Orleans, every person imaginable was calling it a genius move by Mac and a win win for both teams. On top of it all, Teddy is now in the NFC, completely out of our way in the future. Whether you hate Mac or love him, you can not deny that this trade was a phenomenal move. To then speculate on what possibly would have happened if the Bills had realized Allen is a bust, is ridiculous. Give me a break
I have no idea; I'm not a scientist. I think the word "hypothesis" conveyed my point adequately. Because Bridgewater would only be the starter for this year, and we're not winning a Super Bowl or even making the playoffs this year, so it doesn't matter. And if he became the starter for subsequent years, that means Allen completely flamed out.
Probably too much! Haha. We talked about it before Teddy was traded though. It would make sense for Miami, Buffalo, and even New England to trade for him. I would much rather take a 3rd Rounder from New Orleans, than a 1st Rounder from a division rival to help solve their QB problem. We all agree Teddy has great potential, as long as he stays healthy, so none of us wanted him in the AFC and especially not the AFC East. @Unhappyjetsfan you have to think about the entire situation. What about the 49ers? Jimmy G went down for the year. They may have even sent a 1st Round pick to the Jets. Mac could have waited things out, but he did what was best for Teddy too, not just the Jets. A 3rd Round pick for free is a pretty great deal. Teddy signed here to compete for the starting job. And he would have won it, if the Jets did not draft Sam. They did, and there was not a realistic spot on the team for him. Then Mac sent him to a great situation for Teddy and received a 3rd Round Pick for the Jets. Truly an excellent move, all the way around.
