Can we organize a standing ovation for Kirk Cousins on Sunday? He deserves it after saying no to the Jets offer, best thing to ever happen in the offseason. Lets make this happen!
No. I'm filing this under the "be careful what you wish for" category. We do that, and he goes off for 400 yards and three TD's. Let's not even acknowledge him.
It could very well be the most pivotal point in the entire history of the organization. I'm not upset in the least about him snubbing us, only the fact that he made it overtly public and displayed the fact that it was used as leverage. If they play well they play well, I won't let that get in the way of some lighthearted razzing of a douchebag.
Meh..its a win win tbh A few here never thought getting him was worth it period..Capt Kirk only hurt the fans who wanted him a Jet
Let’s ignore him. With our lack of WR depth, it’s likely that Cousins’ stat line will be more impressive than Sam’s on Sunday. I could do without multiple “We Shoulda Taken Kirk!!!” threads in the main TGG forum by 4pm.
Haha. Hard to get 70,000 Jets fans to embrace that level of irony on short notice, but I love it. If Sam ended up crushing it here for fifteen years, it would go down as a historic moment in fan history.
He hardly made it overtly public and hardly displayed it. Who gives a shit, he did what any of us would have done with that Jet offer.
Why do you care enough to give him a standing ovation? The guy signed with Minnesota. We're going on our 7th game of the season. I don't give a shit about Cousins anymore. Darnold is our future. You think our fan base should waste energy to stand up and applaud him out of jest? Wtf for? Ignore the guy and treat him as any other QB in the league.
Why not simply return the favor and snub Cousins? Can we NOT be so petty as to try to turn the snubbing into some federal case? We need to treat this game as the most important game on the schedule because... its the NEXT game on the schedule. Nothing more, nothing less.
Hard to get 70,000 Jets fans to show up at the stadium. Seems like there’s always a lot of empty seats when they scan the crowd.
Agree Too early If we win a SB with Sam and Minnesota comes in to open the season, then yes, standing ovation All else is taunting the football gods
That is one fake ass smile. Disagree with OP. I'm not interested in any sort of braggadocio. We'll end up looking like Jason Taylor crying on the side-line after the Monday Night Miracle, I prefer to look like Jumbo. Just play the game. Jets get the ovation if they pull this one off, at the very least they better put up a hell of a fight.
