First reason is factually incorrect. Second reason is spot on.

If we trade for Cooper, not only would it cost a draft pick but we would also have to sign him to an extension. We have the cap space, but is he the guy we want to drop $10-15 mill per season on? His career has been on a downward trend and I'm concerned that the Raiders' willingness to get rid of him means they don't have much confidence in him being a true #1 WR.

Is it though? He is the most inconsistent player I can remember in recent memory. He cannot be relied on. He's a detriment.

No. Don't give up any draft capital. We need it. Two what does Cooper add to the four we have. He'd come in and be fourth at best. Enuwa when healthy is better. Kerse is better, Anderson. Maybe he beats Pryor. He does not help. No thank you.

I think he’s a good player; problem is he was expected to be a great player and the Raiders probably think he not only has the value of a great player but a great player at another position.

Amari Copper is legendary with his drops no? Didnt he have a ton of drops last year? There is no possible scenario or argument that any one could possibly make that Cooper is worth a number 1. Its the dumbest thing ive heard in months. Hes not even worth a 3rd. What are we even discussing here?????/

Hes got two 1,000 yard seasons on his resume. Average of 14 per yards a catch for those 4 seasons, hardly horrible and something neither Kearse or Robby can lay claim to.

This may come as slightly hard to believe but Robby tech on a per target basis has been slightly more productive than Amari. He just hasn't seent he targets that Cooper did in his first three years.

Considering we are comparing a first round pick to a udfa that is saying a lot.

Yeah but he hasn't been relevant since 2016. That certainly doesn't give me confidence. But again, if they get him for cheap and it turns out he only sucked in Oakland for some reason, then I'll be as happy as anyone.

    "seeking first round pick"

    HAHAHA

No way. Maybe 5th rounder. He's not a game changer.

The Raiders are 7-15 over the past season and a half; that in itself is a pretty good reason for Cooper's recent drop in production. Oakland would be out of their minds to let Cooper go for anything less than a First Rounder. Those who think that Oakland will let him go for just a 2nd or 3rd are dreaming. Amari is only 24 years of age and is playing a very important position in today's high scoring NFL.

The Jets are currently projected to have the 12th Pick in the draft and are tied with six teams. Therefore, it is more likely they will drop further down than move up in the 2019 draft. In addition, a 1st Round draft pick does not guarantee you an established talent. If the Jets, don't pick him up, I can easily see New England or another contender giving up a low 1st for Cooper.

I'll go with the unpopular yes but has to be for the right price .

I would give the saints 3rd for cooper , young receiver with potential is what we need for Sam. Drop issues are legit concerning but his second year he had a low drop rate so who knows.

I get that he's had a couple of down seasons but Carr has been shaky and that those down seasons will bring down what it takes to get him. He's young enough to salvage his career and help Darnolds development. Worth the risk to me

Agree but I'm not looking to replace Robby work Cooper, wasn't them both on the field. With Enunwa. I think Robby and Cooper would compliment each other really well and Enunwa underneath would make this group a nightmare to defend
