They are better defensively (which is more of a statement on how bad they were last year) and they have a much better running game. I think they are better, but the AFC in general is much better this season. I know Mahomes is good, but I think everyone should pump the brakes a little bit. Dude has an all time receiving core and a great running back. Yet he got tricked a few times by the defense and missed some wide open throws. I'm curious to see what he will look like when his receiving core will get depleted a little bit, because that will happen in the salary cap era at some point.
Unlikely. The Chiefs defense hasn’t been very good all season; the Pats lighting them up doesn’t equate to their running through the rest of the AFC. I doubt they end up with home field in the playoffs.

I hope the Jets continue to improve and are able to make the playoffs as a Wild Card this season. The rivalry, their big play ability in all thre phases I think the Jets could be VERY dangerous to New England in a playoff game.
