The Jets have a overabundance of good wide receivers.

Enunwa and a first for him?

A part of me fears it'd be Robbie which would be a mistake IMO.

Do we? Kearse, Enunwa, Anderson, and Pryor are all needed to develop chemistry with Darnold and aid his development.

The only guess is that they are rebuilding and would rather have picks than pay him, which seems silly considering your goal with the pick would be to draft a player like him. Sure, that player would be less expensive but the idea that you shouldn’t pay good players until you are good doesn’t seem like a recipe for improvement.

That would translate into Bridgewater for Jones. I’m good with that.

    Ridiculous!!!!

Where are the picks you are trading with coming from???? The ONES YOU NEED TO PROTECT SAM

Everyone giddy over 2 big wins over bad teams thinks our OL is suddenly a brick wall...actually an injury or 2 from collapse ...going forward is the tough part of sched folks

Come down to earth guys...why doesn't Macnitwit trade for some depth where it's needed???

NO MORE DEFENSE PLEASE.....these GM moves are like a broken record

As is usually the case, if the price is right, make the move. Not sure we’re one defender away from an elite defense, but Jones would allow the Jets to try some different things for sure.

I just want at least 2 OL out of the draft next year. A C and LT would be nice. Don’t sell the farm for D when scoring points wins games.

Regardless, the idea of acquiring a pass rusher is much better than the idea of getting a RB or WR.

For a third round pick, I say go for it. Jones is the elite pass rusher we haven't had since Abraham. And I know one thing, I'm sure Chandler would love to exact some revenge against the Pat's twice a year.

You gotta give quality to get quality.

WR is the deepest position on the team with Kearse healthy again (good game today) and Pryor a physical marvel starting to come on I think that's the way they should go.

Arizona has a young QB of their own.

As much as I wasn’t a fan of the signing. Pryor might be our best receiver by the end of this season. He is clearly has all of the physical tools to be it. Robby is also talented but he is too small to be a complete receiver.

Hard to close out games without a pass rush. I'd do it for the right price.

There seems to be a general consensus that pass rusher is the key missing piece to this defense. If there is any way in hell to pull off a deal, you do it and don't look back. Then you turn your attention to the offense.
It's also rumored that Amari Cooper (who took a ridiculous shot to the head today) is on the trading block. I would love to see what Dorrell could do with him.

I’m pretty confused that there are people that wouldn’t make this deal because of his age. Or because they are sick of investing in defensive players. Are you kidding me? If you can get this done for the third round pick we got for Teddy then you do it in a heartbeat and you don’t look back.

That's just nuts. Enunwa is our best WR, and a homegrown player. Trading him and a 1st would be crazy.

I didn't realize that Jones was already 28. No way I'd trade a 3rd round pick for a player who has probably only 2-4 years at a high level. What's the point? We aren't just one player away from being Lombardi Trophy contenders. That would just elevate the team's play enough to have us drafting middle of the pack and we'd have a much harder time acquiring the pieces we need. It's just impatience and wanting to rush things, instead of building and having some patience. Just as the rest of the team is gelling and ready to compete, his play would start falling off a cliff. With that 3rd rounder we could get a new starting center, or a good pass rusher that we could have for 10 years.
