Why not? If he didn't play because of injury, that's one thing, but if he was benched for his ass wiping, then he hurt the team with his actions and hurt himself. In that case, it totally counts, and he is disqualified as MVP by anyone with one shred of logic and sound reasoning.
I'd say Crowell on Offense & Williamson on Defense . As far as biggest disappointment so far I'd have to say it's Trumaine Johnson... the guy hasn't really impressed me, so far.
But Eli IS the MVP for the season. For me at least. I got a lot of hearty laughter at his ineptitude and misery. Even last Thursday.
My vote would be for Avery Williamson. Demario Davis had a very nice season for us last year, but this guy is a beast, and clearly an upgrade. He's been our most consistent performer sine Game One.
Tough question. I would go with Enunwa on O and Williamson on D Nobody has really separated themselves though.
I'm starting to get concerned that the Giants will be so bad that they'll get their new franchise QB next year and thus Saquon was the right pick after all. We need the Giants to win 5 or 6 games and miss out on their QB.
Give it some time on Trumaine. New defense for him and the other 3 starters are playing lights out. Does anyone know how he fits here in terms of scheme? I don't think the Jets spend the kind of money that we did on him if he didnt fit what Bowles wants to do. Either way he is a very good talent and we should look very good in the secondary for second half of the season.
Nah. They will pick the next Tim Couch all right. I still think Sam Darnold was the right pick for them last spring.
Offense: Crowell - he didnt have a great game today, but whenever he is involved we seem to be on the winning side. Defense: Avery Williamson-he is all over the field and great decision by Mac to get a younger linebacker instead of overpaying Davis last year for 1 good year of production. Special mention to Adams, who looks great, but occasionally makes a boneheaded play. Still learning the ropes though and I am very excited for him. Special Teams - Edwards and Myers have both been excellent. Can't really complain here. The special teams have been significantly better since Bowles' first year here when it was one of the worst in the league.
