This game and the Giants's season are perfect examples of why even the best RBs aren't that valuable.

It seems like every player on the Giants is either not any good, doesn't seem to give a crap, or is a head case, other than Barkley and Collins.

I agree, but Barkley did look really nice last night for the 1-5 lil giants.

I see Shurmur is already blowing up. In the post-game press conference he claimed that he thought the team fought to the end, which is of course laughable. Then, when a reporter asked about the effort Shurmur cut him off, berated him for asking about the effort, and made faces at him like he was an idiot. Always a great idea to make enemies of the press in the New York market when your team is horrible. This guy seems to be in way over his head - he might end up being a bigger disaster than McAdoo was.

And OBJ was back to punching equipment during the game to "fire himself up." What a clown.

    Tonite?
They've been a terrible organization for quite awhile. A circus really.
That extremely lucky 2011 run bought them a lot of excuses, but those excuses have finally run out.

I see a Barry Sanders-esque career for him and the giants. Win/loss playoff appearance wise that is.

I think Barkley is the most valuable piece on that offense. He is having way more impact than OBJ and Eli, who are vastly overpaid.

To your point tho they should have gone QB in draft.

This is so true. All of the pundits are talking about the team's record since the 2011 Super Bowl season, but the fact is that they haven't been particularly good for years longer than that. They were 41-23 in Eli's first four full seasons as starter, and are 70-80 in the 10 seasons since then (the Jets are 68-81 over the same time period, and we all know no one thinks they've been any good). He, and they, have been overrated for years because of a couple of fluke playoff runs.

They should trade both of them and begin their tear down next off-season.

  11. Giants deserved alot more criticism esp gettleman for how they handled the last draft. Its one thing to wanna ride it out w Eli & give him another weapon. Its another when there are reports that they didnt like any of the QBs.

If none of Mayfield,Darnold,Rosen,Allen & Jackson suit your fancy as QB prospects there is something very wrong w how you evaluate players.

They acted smug like they were smarter than everybody else.Right now they look incompetent

Shurmur should really grow a pair and cut or suspend OB-Gay’s ass. His antics are killing that team

But hey as a Giants hater, I’m good with it :D

We might see the first snow game of the year this weekend. The WC is saying 2-5 inches of snow Saturday night into Sunday for Denver. Broncos host the Rams.

The Jets critics suggest the Broncos are a bad team, and the Jets can only beat bad teams. If the Broncos beat the undefeated Rams, then those same critics will have to blame the bad weather for the upset. If the Jets beat the Colts it's because they are a 1-4 team, which is a bad team. Even if the Jets beat the Vikings the following week they won't get credit, because Kirk Cousins usually sucks at MetLife.

I actually think Denver keeps that game close. The rams are one of the worst teams in dvoa against stopping the run and the broncos actually rank first in that metric. Throw in the weather and it’ll be close as hell. Rams also on back to back road games. Tough game for The rams.

Interesting stat for the Sunday night game. Five times an Andy Reid-coached team has been the last team in the league to lose. In those five seasons those teams have won a total of zero playoff games. In other words, no matter how well they do in the regular season, nothing really matters for the Chiefs until January.

Giants fans have lost there minds

    but but but BARKLEY

If I was offered Barkley AND a #1 for Darnold right now I say no and never regret it. The Eagles last night totally keyed on Odell and didn't even attempt to stop Barkley. And what happend. Beckham was completely eliminated from the game (and lost his mind) Barkley had some moments. You think Philly cares? Barkley had a great day and Philly didn't just win, they massacred them!

They have a bad owner, bad coach, bad offensive line, bad defense, talented but batshit crazy WR and a fading QB.

Oh and they play in a division with Philly who could be the next New England. Have fun with that

Carolina couldn't be happier to have Gettleman gone.

He is ill now. Not sure how involved he is in the franchise at the moment but he is not the answer at GM.

They're about to find out how hard it is to find a franchise QB. And they need a new coach Shurmur is an idiot and totally uninspiring
