He made good reads, but threw bad balls. He wasn't throwing screens, he was actually throwing the ball. Against Detroit and Miami we had some semblence of a run game, there was none against Jacksonville. He isn't playing well and I don't want to make excuses for him. I see reasons to hope and I've seen more each game.
He competed against Jacksonville after the first quarter. I saw a look of fearlessness in his eyes, disappointment, anger after missed plays. I saw him taking command of the huddle. These are intangible things that don't show up on the stat sheet. I hope to see more of it from him against Denver today.
