I don't think it'll happen but I think Bowles and Macc will last the rest of the season and then perhaps be fired. The team looks woefully unprepared every week and Bowles struck again with the conservative gameplay. I personally would have fired Bowles mid season but seems like a risky move for a 21 year old QB.
He will last the year. Bowles has built a coaching staff that has absolutely no qualified candidate to act as interim head coach. I don't know if that was a deviously clever job-preservation tactic or just a sign of incompetence. I don't see how you could bring in an outsider just for the rest of the year, and I can't imagine too many unemployed coaches who would want to jump on the horse in mid-stream for the rest of the year.
2 and 4 and probably a fired coach in season. Likely let Bowles and hopefully MAc go before thanksgiving.

Yeah, but this is how the Jets have gotten in trouble in the the past. Will a first-rate coaching candidate want to come on board knowing the GM is on thin ice and a good bet to be gone after the coach's first season? While I grudgingly think Maccagnan deserves another year, I'm beginning to think that he has to go if (when) Bowles goes. Start fresh, but this time, hire the GM first and have the GM hire the coach.

My conversation with my wife actually works out perfectly (she asked who the Jets could beat — I said they could beat the Bills but I’m not confident they will). The week after the Bills game is the bye week. If the Jets get rolled by the Bills, Sunday night or Monday 11/12 are the times/dates I’m circling for termination. I really feel bad about calling for someone’s job, but Todd really isn’t suited to be a HC.
Bowles has not shown any growth or redeeming qualities since week 17 2015. I'm tired of seeing the same shit week after week so really, i dont feel bad for him if he gets canned mid-season
At 1-6, concern will be rising with the Johnson’s that we may not get to 5-11. I think Bowles has enough charisma to alleviate those concerns and assure him we can get back to that desired 5-11 record. Bowles will get another 2 year extension if he does.
