We have the quarterback, we have tons of cap space. We have good young talent all over the roster. We have ownership and management that we have the patience to let a coach grow and make mistakes and mature into the role. Even if he ultimately failed he was given more than enough chances. Too many even

No excuse to not end up with a Harbaugh or somebody legitimately good in 2019. None at all.

They also need a GM and scouts that can pick players that can play not blow draft after draft because Mike M. and his staff are clueless.

How can you not love what he did In SF... 44-19-1
3 NFCC and 1 SB Appearance.

But not sure his dynamics would fit in w/the brass. If they're willing to give him what he wants, he may listen.

    This. I want this.

  7. Trent Baalke & jim Harbaugh.Baalke started as a scout w the Jets before going on to the Niners.Obviously Harbaugh butted heads w that FO but my understanding is that Jed york was/is the antagionist in that saga.

Harbaugh had a great interview here before Jets chose Rex in 09.

These 2 have a history of building a winner. And connecting the dots to Florham park is not hard

Harbaugh does not have the personality make up to be successful in NY.
He is a major asshole and will implode at the first sign of adversity with the NY media.

Is that a bad thing? Maybe some of that fire would rub off on the sleepwalkers who are the current NY Jets.

Knowing this organization, Bowles will be back next year to ruin all of that cap space and further stunt Darnold's development.

Hate to be that guy but CLEARLY the prime destination with first coaching dibs is Cleveland, yep we are less of a destination than the Browns

This clueless cheerleader of an owners son doesn’t give me any impression that Bowles is in danger at all. The Johnsons just need to steer clear of football completely.

What good is having all that cash if you don't have a clue how to spend it wisely. I keep thinking about our $72m penalty machine and wonder just how much ROI we're gonna get outta this.

No coach worth his salt would even consider a job with this third rate organization. We can dream though.

Not that this is anything new, but if the Jets do fire Bowles at the end of this season and don't go with a coach from the offensive side of the ball I foresee a revolt from the fans here (including me).

Exactly. We're not going to get the kind of people in here that are needed to turn the franchise around until the Johnsons sell the team. Until then, it's going to be a few mediocre seasons sprinkled in with all of the 5-11 and worse seasons to come.

You guys just don't get it. Who would want a guy who wouldn't welcome the challenge to turn around a team in the world's biggest market? Who would want a guy who would rather whine about the ownership than say he can overcome it? Who would want the guy who would shy away from the tough questions he'd be asked by the New York media?

Any coach with the onions to face those challenges is the guy I want. There's only 32 of these jobs around; there will be plenty of guys looking for the job - finding the right guy is the tough part. As we've seen time and time again.

We've been hiring those people. Problem is, they're also the same people who can't coach their way through an open door.

The type of guy who can turn this dumpster fire around is the kind of guy who is going to have options when the hiring season commences at the end of the season. A guy who has options is not going to come here unless his first or second option somehow falls through.

I either never knew or had forgotten that Harbaugh had interviewed here before Rex was hired. Dayum. Instead of that clown Rex, we could have had Harbaugh. We might have had a SB victory by now, and certainly wouldn't have had the last 6 years of frustration and embarrassment.

    Make it happen, Chris!
