Hi everyone, This is a bit of a random thread but me and my partner are travelling to New York on Sunday 14th October from the UK and we bought tickets for the game against the Colts but didn't realise our flights don't land until 18:45 meaning we will miss the game. I am unable to sell them in the US as I don't have a US bank account so am prepared to give them to charity or to a fan who needs them. If anyone knows of a charity that would like them or someone who deserves two tickets then I am more than happy to send them. Please let me know. Many thanks, Paul Hudson
Hi, Paul. That's very kind of you. I'm sure someone will take you up on it. Did you also purchase a parking pass? That will definitely help. The mood in Jetland ain't that great at the moment (haha), but I love that we have international fans. As far as donating them to charity, whatever you do, don't give the tickets back to the Jets. Their FO is shady and they will probably just try to re-sell them. Because you are not from the U.S. they probably won't even give you a receipt for a tax write-off, and if they did, not sure what you could do with that. There are several charities for foster kids and the like, but my guess is that you'll have several takers here. If for some reason that doesn't happen, PM me and I can send a charity or two that you can donate to directly. Have a nice time in the U.S. and my best to the UK. GO JETS! Thanks again. God Save the Queen. We mean it, man. ; ) EDIT & P.S.: How long have you been a fan? How did you become one? Please share, welcome, and don't be a stranger.
Hi Jetophile, Many thanks for the reply. Unfortunately no parking pass purchased as we were going to travel to the game by train, the tickets do come with refreshments pre game though. If I don't get any takers then that would be great if you could suggest a charity for me and let me have their contact details. I have to confess I have only become a Jets fan recently, I've always watched games but never got into following one team, as it's my first trip to the US I wanted to take in a game and have been following the jets for a few months and pre-season. The NFL show in the UK was giving the Cleveland Browns a real hammering and then they go and turnover the Jets...…and from the position they were in I just couldn't see it coming....but that's life!! Thanks again, Paul
Donate them to the board and let’s have a contest to see who wins them. @Brook! @Cman60 This is possible?
Hey Paul If you like to donate them to a charity here is what we should do. Send tickets to me, I will sell them on stubhub. All the earnings will go to St Jude's Children's Hospital. I will send you the receipt. Let me know.
Hi Brook, Sounds perfect to me, if you can send me your first and last name and email address then I will send them across to you from my Jets App account. Many thanks, Paul
Got the tickets. Cheapest ticket in that section as of now is $86. Will put them for sale for $85 now as I expect Jets keep losing and tickets losing value. After the fees and all I will send you the total dollar value.
Correcting myself. here is what stubhub says. I will put them up for sale for $102 Recommended You'll likely get the best payout and a quick sale. Based on our data, tickets like yours sell between $92.00 and $128.00. You get $183.60 if your tickets sell ? Price $102.00 Service fee -$10.20 Payout per ticket $91.80 Price and fee may decrease, but your payout will not change.
