Nothing wrong with that. If they make mistakes and or if they create stupid penalties. BENCH them. if they suck OR if you don’t like their haircut, if they look at you wrong, BENCH them. Teach them a LESSON. Lest not forget, the best coach ever * benched a top line player in the goddam Suprtbowl!!!! Biggest game!!!!!! This statue is afraid to even reprimand a single average player in a regular season meaningless game!!!!!!!!! Todd Bowles is a total, without question, trash coach. Zero accountability. Zero respect Zero respect Horrible
I posted this yesterday in o e of the threads, Crowell and Tru need benched for at least a quarter of not a half. It does not matter who you bench them for if their selfish actions are costing the team.
I would LOVE to see Bowls start benching team primdonas for conduct detrimental to the team, which is exactly what we saw the other night. Spare me the contractual aspects of the term, please, because we all saw the same game.
I couldn't watch game, due to being the middle of the night, what exactly did they do and what is this arse wipe move Crowell is being accused of ?
as for tru the jets were getting off the field after a third down stop and he took the ball and placed it in Jarvis Landry's stomach
Cheers, nope don't like that kind of thing myself either, it is fucking classless, your two TD's were the answer to them binning you not wiping your arse on the ball. Poor stuff
Someone posted the Crowell clip .. Tru on third down after Landry dropped a ball ending a drive, picked the ball up and shoved it in his chest drawing a taunting penalty and keeping Cleveland’s offense on the feild. Just a stupid selfish penalty that this team needs to stop yesterday.
That Crowell ass wipe was one of the most disgusting displays of “sportsmanship” I think I’ve ever seen and it embarrassed me tremendously as a Jet fan. Honestly makes me sick just thinking of it.
To be perfectly honest, people are not going to agree with this because so many people care more about play than they do person, but I'm going to say it anyway. Todd Bowles should have cut Isaiah Crowell after that game. That would have sent a message and set an example for this team. If you put yourself before the team...it doesn't matter how much f**king talent you have...you're not going to be a NY Jet. But Bowles didn't have the balls...
This is year 4 It's too late. It is WAY too late Most knew it was never happening with Bowles week 17 Buffalo....2015
Sure you can, when the reason he's coaching to keep his job is in part because of the perception that there is no accountability on the team when players make mental mistakes, take stupid penalties, put their own egos in front of the good of the team, etc. In fact, that's exactly what he should do if he wants to keep his job. Everyone, from the owner on down, agrees that this season was never about wins and losses, it was about seeing progress in all of the phases of the team that have been lacking. Coaching as if you believe that your job depends on winning a particular game shows a shocking lack of understanding of what is going on, and in fact makes it more likely you will lose your job. This is not a team loaded with talent that is viewed as being in a "we have everything but the coach" situation.
The purposeful Buttwipe was vile and lame...at least the incidental Buttfumble is mildly amusing in retrospect.
You had 2 reasons to bench Crowell. 1- the dumbass penalty and 2-he wasn’t nearly as good as Powell anyway
Nonsense imo. To begin with, supposedly, he isn't coaching to keep his job. So that throws your post out the window for starters. Second, why can't you, if his starters are playing undisciplined, stupid football, making dumb mistakes and penalties that are causing his team to lose the game? He should have enough self respect, respect for the owners, the team, and for the fans. At least that way, even if he does get fired, he will have showed that he tried everything to get the players playing the way they should have, rather than being seen as being a soft, undisciplined players coach, who was too stupid to care.
