Fair enough. Aside from being sloppy overall, the three plays that changed the game were the big Herndon drop that hit him in the hands, the bobble before halftime that resulted in the ball on the 1 yard line instead of a td, and the pryor botched play in the end zone that led to the TD. Even with all the sloppiness and bad blocking this game was winnable if those three plays go the other way, or maybe even just 2 of the 3.
Just re checked the Jets schedule and I am back to my original prediction of less than 6 wins for us ..4 at best imo Considering this CS CANNOT clean things up or have the players prepared for every game : we stand a chance with 2 games vs Buffalo maybe Tenn and maybe Indy..one of those mentioned will be a loss prob Chicago is a better team obviously Miami ...Cleveland will give us fits imo and the rest are good defenses or playoff contenders Three years of this BS is a good sample size even with Darnold to know what ya can expect. Bubba the Bum won't last the Season..watch
Missing Q in the endzone didn't cost the Jets the game. The game was lost before the coin toss due to inadequate preparation and piss poor game planning.
Sam did not miss a wide open Q in the endzone. He was throwing that ball away. That Q got his hands on it as he was 2 yards out the back of the endzone doesn’t make that any less the case.
Cman ,thanks for creating this thread , have you or anyone else been keeping track of how many excuses people have actually come up with ? 9 pages long and lots of replies has to be over 25 ,no ?
I may have to correct myself here, the Oline is actually worse then we thought it was in the offseason.
That is what happens when you have a GM that ignores it every year. Gives a gigantic contract to scrub guard in Winters. Then tries to piece it together on the cheap in free agency. He might get around to it after Johnson gives him and Bowles 5 year extensions. You know to thrill the fans with more of this.
I'm wondering if I should make one of these for every loss OR just sticky this one.... This season has "groundhog day" written all over it..
You don't need to sticky it. We'll all know exactly where to find it. I'm still sick from Thursday. I don't think the Jets will ever be able to shed being the Jets. I mean the "typical" aspect. It's like the sins of the father or an autosomal disease or some shit. Probably both.
