The "WR conundrum" they have is why Macc can't find better ones.Q is great, but after that? Nothing dependable so far. Whatever criteria Macc and his scouts use to measure WRs (and TEs) needs to be re-evaluated. You have a budding FQB in Darnold, but with a shortage of weapons you won't get the best ROI.
This really would be my ideal situation but do you really think this management could go through the first 3 rounds without drafting defence? We should, but history suggests otherwise.
This may not be popular, but if you can't sign Q to a reasonable deal and with all of the cap space available next year, it may be a consideration to use a transition tag on Q. It's ridiculously expensive to do that for a year (probably around $13 - $14 million) but 1) it wouldn't prevent the Jets from making other moves in free agency with that amount of cap space, 2) it's not my money and 3) would give them one more year to really find out who Q is as a player. Like someone mentioned earlier, the last thing you do is take the favorite target of a young developing franchise QB away.
If I had to guess, this is exactly what I’d expect. Kearse is a good pro and a good citizen, great role model for the culture they’re trying to build. Enunwa is a great 2 and a dangerous weapon. Anderson will get the opportunity to play for a good contract and show he’s not a chronic fuck up. Unless Prior starts to play to his potential, He’s likely gone.
You must be on crack? Landry had 3 out of 4 of his seasons hitting 1000 yards. Q hasnt even done that once. lol Q even with a good year this year wont come close to that kind of money. Hes in the 8-10mill avg with a great year.
That would require Macc and minions to admit they goofed. Their arrogance has them believing they are the smartest guys in football. We need help everywhere but we have the luxury to take back to back safeties.
