The Jags D is absolutely loaded with talent and he has an offense that does just enough...He coached a good game today but bitched out in the AFC Championship last year He’s decent and probably a little better than Bowles, but I really don’t want either one in the long term We really need a forward thinking/creative coach to grow with Darnold but until then I’ll root for Bowles
I think you’re wrong...he’s got a cannon and is settling in with the other parts of the game...he’s in a great situation with weapons all over the place and with a top 3 offensive coach in the league There’s a reason they dumped a solid QB in Alex Smith
The guy we missed out on was Dave Caldwell, the GM. Could've had him if he allowed him to hire any coach, he drafted some studs. Would've loved Coughlin here as well in a similar role.
SMH Unbelievable! I haven't listened to any hype. I watched Mahomes in college and have seen footage of him this season. You don't throw 6 TDs in a game and 10 the first two games if you're a flash in the pan.
flash in the pan eh what are we then poop in the toilet ?? (we would all give our left nut for mahomes) sadly we're a dollar short every time
Going into this season, here's what KC's skill players did under 'game manager' Alex Smith: #1 WR-TE combo in receptions, total yards and touchdowns: . Tyreek Hill - Travis Kelce, Kansas City #1 RB in total rushing yardage: ..Kareem Hunt, Kansas City add to that for 2018 a former top-5 pick in Sammy Watkins, an OL of Eric Fischer and Michael Schwartz and an offensive guru in Andy Reid just to keep it in all in context. Good for Mahomes that he and the Kansas City Chiefs are lighting it up thus far, but here are the NEW YORK Jets looking like they finally may've hit on a QB only to read (above) one post-after-post-after-post from the Manhome fanboys who couldn't wait to hi-jack a Doug Marrone thread (this was about Marrone after all, yes?) so as to commence stuffing Mahomes' cock into their gaping maws and passing it around their circle jerk like a hash pipe is discouraging to read (not to mention reeking of the SOJF bullshit). . And if I sound like a DefenseWinsChampionships pom-pom waving douche bag so be it. I mean, 2 measly games into the kid's career and already the "bwwwwaaaa, I wish we drafted some other guy" re-occurring bullshit??? ..... here you go: www.chiefsplanet.com/ hmmmm.... . maybe a tad too strong?.... .
Very different circumstances my friend. If Bowles was as good a HC as Reid and we had a good QB like Alex Smith and were a playoff a team, Darnold sitting a year would not bother anyone and this board would have been fine. Exhibit A: Jets fans waited for Hackenberg to sit a year or two behind two below average QBs, team sucked both years and it turned out Mac drafted a dud, fans were patient and were rewarded with nothing. I also believe Marrone would have been a better HC for Jets. JMO
Marrone did a decent job at Syracuse. Wonder if Dino Babers leaves Syracuse for the NFL too. Babers is revered right now -- I don't think Marrone reached this level of popularity.
He's one of the best coaches in the league. Very underrated. Which explains why the Giants fans in the NY media tried so hard to make Woody change his mind when it looked like he was his #1 choice to replace Rex. Woody is soft.
First, let me say that I was 100% on-board with Marone coming to the Jets but it didn't happen. The point was, under the current circumstances, this board would have had a meltdown if we drafted Mahomes and sat him. Heck, the calls to play Hack or Petty were relentless for a while, until we saw what we really had... nothing.
