is he number 78? He got tossed like a rag doll.

The scariest thing about last night's performance is that the Redskins weren't even blitzing and this offensive line was abused. What is going to happen when the regular season starts and its not so easy. yikes

Either they're not picking up Dennison's new system or they aren't talented enough to execute it correctly. Either was makes for a long year.

And I think the line will be fine if not good with them in the lineup, the issue is depth
That's the one. There were indeed several occasions they were only bringing 4 and shredded through the line, especially in the early going with Kerrigan and Smith out there. The line looked much improved later against camp fodder.

The line could still be fine when Kelvin and Winters get back out there, but it's the same thing it's been for a decade. If one of them goes down...

Let's also quietly remember that the Redskins used their 2017 (Jonathan Allen) and 2018 (DaRon Payne) first round picks on DL, and that Allen didn't play most of last season due to an early injury. They might have been near the bottom in rushing defense in 2017, but in 2018 they could easily be a top-10 defensive front if Allen and Payne are both healthy.

Also yes, the Jets badly need offensive line help. With the possible exception of our lack of pass rush, it's the area of the team most in need of upgrades. Hopefully we grab some help there in the upcoming offseason. Perhaps even... a franchise LT to go with our QB?

Gotta get back to winning in the trenches, right now the Jets have lost their way.

Need to package teddy for something like the Jags 3rd and back up LT Josh Wells , would give us a solid NFL back up at guard and tackle.

I said it during the game, the Skins looked like they were trying to pump up their D by fattening up in a preseason game. They blitzed all night long.

i watched the chargers-seahawks game last night, and all jey fans who think the jets are playoff material should watch it also.
the chargers second string o-line is light years better than the jets starters.:(

No one wants Darnold to get hurt behind his weak O-line, but I will say that he is used to it. USC's O-line was average at best, especially against top competition. Of course bad O-line play makes it tough for any QB to succeed, but Sam probably can handle it better than most young QB's could. Hopefully it is fixed this Off-season though. That should be priority #1. Even more important than a pass rusher, since you need to protect your potential franchise QB.

We need to see how this unit looks with Beachum and Winters back in-game before panicking. The transition in blocking schemes also concerns me, but I hope that more time and practice leading up to week one will make a difference. Ultimately, I do think the line has a chance to be serviceable, but it would hinge on the first two pieces coming to be.

Winters is one epic joke away from popping another ab. I’m worried about him.

If the apex of this line's potential is "serviceable", we're in deep shit. Macc is gonna have to prioritize the Oline. No ifs, and's or buts.

CMAN maybe not,,,,I mean this guy has spoken repeatedly about his philosophy on how to build the O Line and thru the draft although an option is NOT what he has done in ANY of his 4 years here. This patch work BS is how he thinks its done. Man it seems like a lifetime ago when we drafted Brick and Mangold ,maybe thats because it was .
