If that means our backup QB will lead us to a Lombardi Trophy after Darnold starts out at 10-2 and has a season ending injury, I'll take it.
It’s posts like this that make my glad I’m a Jets fan... The spot on analysis of our best writers is really what separates us from the other fans of other teams/sports etc..I think when my grandparents came to America, it was so I’d have access to articles from Costello/Manish/Hughes etc.. As the holidays come around and you’re relaxing with your families..please take a moment to reflect on the skill of our “eyes and ears” thy cover this team.. My eyes swell up thinking about the next article they are going to write..and also that those over seas/in jail etc don’t have access consistently to this.. But someday my kids will! And there is no better feeling than that!
this is no longer true https://www.si.com/mmqb/2016/02/24/nfl-draft-combine-offensive-tackles-history
darnold and bridgewater need as many reps as possible. we do not need another camp arm ... if the o-line is not holding up, run the ball. use sparing play action calls with a moving pocket to the o-line detractors, take a look around the league. we have an average line
Considering you could credit Mac for every move thus far, including drafting Darnold, I'd relax with the "fired" stuff
That what makes it a sad fact. I already volunteered to be the sacrificial QB to solve this problem. I've not heard from the Jets front office yet.
Ughh, the thought of starting Jonathan Harrison at RG makes me woozy after watching that first series in tonight's game...
Also it seems like Winters and Beachum will be back by week 1 knock on wood. They are arguablely our two best starters on the offensive line.
I won’t be mad if they just make the O-line the top priority from here on out....cannot make same mistake as Colts Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've been beating this drum on this board for 4 years. Mike Mac has drafted a grand total of TWO OL in 4 drafts and both in round 5--NOT THE WAY TO BUILD AN OL. Stupid shit.
As I wait for my lifeline-the beat writers- to tell me what to think.. Maybe it’s not the worst idea to start McCown and go to bridge or vice versa for the first 12 or so games..Sacrafice them, he learns/protected on bench, lets our guys figure scheme out, lets competition wear down? Anyone up for that?
Maybe it’s me, but I don’t recall our online being quite this bad last year...and this is supposed to be better than last year... What makes me laugh and cry now, is that early on we were supposed to sit dam because he wasn’t ready..now he very well could be but we need to sit for his own protection..I’ve never heard of this before..not saying I disagree (see above) but just blows my mind.. But -hear me out- maybe we should be congratulation bowles/mac if this happens.. Yeah they deserve blame for the condition of the line.. but if this sittin for protection happens, it would be a new approach and they truly are thinking for the future
im not the English major of the forum but dang dude at least try to throw a hop catche in there so we know you care
