Saquon Barkley tweaked his hamstring at practice today, heavily wrapped, seen limping around. The guy had legs like Cespedes. I could see this lingering/recurring for a very long time. So glad they passed on Sam.
Just saw that the NFLN for week 2 preseason will televise the Browns vs Bills on Friday night. Get the Jets with Darnold on Thursday. Then Friday night get to watch Mayfield and Allen.
As much as I object to caring about preseason under any circumstances, that's actually some pretty good viewing for mid-August.
They really are featuring the top rookie QBs this preseason on the televised games. I have only watched the Jets, but I've been interested in the other games and tried to watch highlights, which is more than I usually do.
Ben Roethlisberger suffered a possible concussion on a hit in practice. Apparently he ran into a teammate who was blocking someone in a 7-on-7 drill, fell down, and stayed down holding his head. https://nypost.com/2018/08/14/roethlisberger-exits-practice-early-with-possible-concussion/ From the description it sounded pretty minor to result in him getting that hurt, which suggests that he might be in the mode where it doesn't take a big hit to knock him out of the game. Liking a player is fine and all. I guarantee Tanner has a better career than Baker the Bust." I went to NFL draft countdown and read all the senior bowl reports and no mention of Tanner Lee doing well. He's a troll and nothing more.

AJ Mac was dreadful. Allen looked ok but he did lead a 15 play 8 min drive with a nice elusive move on a guy coming right at him, and got the TD on a nice throw. Baker is in now for the Browns.
