With the news today of OT- Ijalana lost for the season on IR, this opens the 53 roster for OT- Garcia. I think our OT are: Beachum, Shell, Qvale and Garcia...with D. James making the PS, as he is the ONLY other OL on the squad who has played OT in college/pros. It's also possible we will be perusing the cut guys to see if anyone is of interest.
We have to sign or trade for a T.. Maybe even kick the tires with Shell practicing at LT. Current depth not sufficient.
The Browns signed Donald Stephenson in the offseason but he has not reported to camp. I wonder if we could get him for a conditional 7th and if so, would he report? I see that he is on the reserve/retired list and has a 2 game suspension looming. Still better than our other options.
Sloppy practice today. Sam had some good throws and also some bad ones. Teddy throws such a nice ball. So impressive to see in person. Crowell was practicing but had a red pinney on. Think this is a good sign. Also got two jerseys signed by Sam. Guy is such a pro.
1st Tier Peake Quincy Andre Roberts (really good day) Walford looked really good 2nd Tier Kearse Stewart (only drop I saw was on an underthrown ball from Sam) Robbie Pryor Ghost Status Hansen Johnson
Great report! Thanks. Nice to hear about Enunwa and Peake. Glad Roberts and Walford looked good too. Not sure what has happened to Hansen though. The TE's are interesting. Not sure who will start or who will get cut.
I really freakin hope they sign someone from the waiver wire. The current list of guys are weak as it gets
I don’t know if you saw the Jets’ twitter post with Mal yelling “Sam” “Sam”...but Mal was taking Darnold jerseys from the fans who were far away, running the jerseys over to Sam, got them signed, then ran them back to the fans. He did that so many times. All of the franchise guys were out there for a long time in the rain signing EVERYTHING after practice. Mal, Leo, McCown, Sam, Robbie, Pryor, Bilal...they get it. Kudos to them.
That was a hilarious video. Jamal is a cool guy. Great to hear all the players did that for the fans too. Especially with the limited amount of practices open to the public.
It's funny what a potential Franchise QB can do for a head coach. Their meals begin to taste better and their interviews begin to have more charisma. Bill Belichick had a career losing record before getting lucky with Tom Brady (as did plenty of other HOF head coaches who started off with career losing records before finally landing their Franchise caliber signal caller). It's only been 3 years for Todd Bowles who's been forced to coach under both a roster purge and a complete rebuild; and now during his 4th season he'll finally have a chance to run a team around either Teddy Bridgewater or most than likely, Sam Darnold. And come the offseason he & Maccagnan will have over 100M+ in available salary cap in order complete this rebuild. Awesome video of Bowles having a good time and imo no head coach deserves Sam Darnold + over 100M in available cap space (come the offseason) more than coach Bowles himself.
