I am against starting Darnold this year specifically because of this atrocious OL. He should only come in for a mop-up duty. P.S. I think Jets need to sign Petty again. Oh wait, he's gone. Now who's going to take the pounding?
Hack is gone too. Now we need a human tackling dummy to pretend to be a Qb. McCown can't take the beating and Teddy is on the mend. I guess there's always Pryor. And to think we all didn't see any value in carrying 4 Qb's... Shame on us!!
I know Ijalana is hurt right now, but if Beachum isn't healthy by then, hopefully Ijalana will be, although I'm not sure if he's really any better than Qvale.
I forgot he was still on the roster lol goes to show how good he is. EDIT - He's actually on IR as of today. Another one down.
You're at peace, get a load. It's more like rest in pieces. Being a Jets fan is like going to The Grand Guignol. I'm not at peace even when the Jets win and the clock is at 00:00. Holy Crap, was it in the mid-80s or was it the early 90s vs. Chicago. "By rule, the game is over." The Jets lost, but I blocked it out to protect my mind from the trauma. I just remember the call and went, "Um, what?" By rule the game is over. The refs took time off the clock and ended the game. You're at peace. Good luck, Maria.
An OK starting OL is going to quickly fall to shit if we have to start Qvale at LT and Harrison at RG. Macc likes to double dip at positions to improve depth and competition....next year he better quadruple dip on the OL.
This idiot isn't even wearing a helmet and needs a haircut. Throw him out there and let him take the heat. Plus, his hands and feet are amputated, he doesn't have any genitals (possibly female, we'll never know, possibly gender fluid), but expect stellar passes and great footwork.
What happened to Winters? I did not know he was hurt. I was just watching an interview with him talking about how happy he was to be healthy!
Don't know but he hasn't practiced all week and now they're saying he might be out the rest of preseason. Hopefully its nothing serious.
To be honest, whether Manish is right or not I completely ignore all of his content. I can't stand him.
There is no friggen way in hell that any of our 3 QBs should be playing in the fourth quarters the next two weeks or at all week 4. How do we not have a 4th camp arm yet?
I think Mac gets a bad rap about OL. It is not that it's not a priority its that he has not had the oppurtunity. In most if not all of his drafts the OL talent and depth was poor. Drafting BPA the value has not been there for him at the top of the draft. He has tried to sign top flight guards with no luck and like you said tried to trade up for Tunsil. Blue chip Left tackles and OL generally only come from high 1st round picks. Next year we should have the oppurtunity to get one of the two. I hope it's a left tackle we can begin to build the line around.
If anything, Gang Green Nation said his performance against the Falcons was pretty bad. At 29, I don't see a reason for the Jets keeping him all this time. Perhaps Garcia gets more reps as its still possible that he hasn't reached his full potential yet.
