Leggett is back & practicing as of Monday joint practice. Herndon I read is also a pretty good blocker. It would be a tough call between Sterling & Walford & Tomlinson. If you want a good blocker you have to go with Tomlinson. I would hate to cut Sterling & Wolford & then have Legget go down again with another injury. I really like how much the tight ends were used in Bates WCO vs. Falcons.
I’m cheering on Clive Walford, mainly because he has the least-NFL name in the history of the NFL. He should be the highest rated plumber on Yelp.
Well if Leggett doesn’t look good then cut him. I mean it’s not like we invested a lot in him and Herndon seems to be better than Leggett anyway. I’d rather it be Herndon, Tomlinson, and the best of the remaining tight ends in camp on the opening day roster.
I don't know which TE's will make the cut, but I do know, from what I've seen so far, that the TE will be used a lot in Bates WCO. Sterling & Wolford were very active in the Falcons game. Can't wait to see Herndon play. Even Leggett who is back from injury is someone I am looking forward to seeing. It's going to be a tough cut when the time comes. All our TE's are worthy of the 53 man roster. Herndon is probably the only lock at the position IMO.
Hey square head it's too! Learn how to spell! I don't try hard enough! That's why I'm constipated all the time! Signed, -Mrs. championjets69
Sorry, how’s this? You are beating a bad schtick into the ground at an annoyingly fast rate. And square avatars still suck, TOO
It's the off-season for cryin' out loud. Lighten up. Wait until the regular season is in full swing. You'll be sorry you ever said that. Be there or be square.
What are their blocking skills like ? If they are shit blockers you will have to scratch one of them and say hello to big Eric
I haven't seen Herndon play, but he is supposedly faster/more athletic and better. The thing with Herndon is that he is also injured and is going to be suspended, isn't he (or am I confusing him with another Jet)? Herndon also has less college experience than Leggett, and Leggett has a history of coming up big in big games. IMO that shouldn't be dismissed lightly. That said, I think Herndon is probably the only TE that is a roster lock. It is frustrating that Leggett has been injured so much. I guess whether Leggett is cut or not could very well depend on whether he is able to stay healthy for the remainder of camp and preseason. Supposedly, he has looked good when healthy and able to practice. If Walford and Sterling continue to look good in practice and preseason, then Leggett could indeed be one of the two TEs on the outside looking in. Still, I would imagine that if they do cut Leggett, they'll probably try to sign him to the PS. They could keep Tomlinson because of his blocking, but if any of the other TEs are even close to Tomlinson in terms of blocking ability or effort, then they could decide to keep him over Tomlinson, since Tomlinson doesn't offer much as a receiver.
I agree with all of the above, especially the bolded sentence. That's why I think the Jets are likely to either keep 4 TEs on the roster, or 3 on the roster and one on the PS.
I was gone for a few days and now we have square avatars!? What has happened ... What did Jeto do. These shits are ugly!
