Most of these guys have great background stories...its incredible what motivates one may destroy another. As a coach, teacher, or parent you never know which words or actions will be resented or praised.
I respect Ray Lewi's football legacy...but i believe everything he does and says has a hidden agenda.
I saw no emotions from his children besides the time he said he kisses them in the mouth.
Thier responses made me wonder how many more lies were in his speech and if in fact he is a truthful person.

I thought Ray Lewis' speech killed............. Too soon?

Seriously though, Randy Moss impressed me. He seems like a legitimately intelligent guy. Dawkins and Urlacher were good too. All 4 of those guys belong in the Hall. Lewis is clearly a little crazy, but he was a great player on the field.

My one problem was Terrell Owens. I don't think he belongs in the Hall of Fame at all. Then he gets in and acts like a complete jackass about it? What an odd guy. Going team to team as a cancer is not exactly Hall worthy to me. You could argue that about Moss, but he was next level compared to Owens.

Hopefully Klecko and Mawae get in next year. That would be awesome.

I agree, didn't think Owens was HOF worthy. Not really sure Urlacher was either. Klecko needs to be enshrined. I just hope he's not recognized after he is gone.

Owens was certainly a problem at times in the locker room for his teams, but dudes numbers he put up on the field put him in the Hall.

Ray Lewis, I'm not a fan. Yes, good player; but also full of shit and a hypocrite. The Lord this, the Lord that, meanwhile Mr. Stabby McStabb never even offered condolences to the families of two murder victims. I don't believe that Lewis was personally involved in the murders, but he was 100% there (and I'm only calling him Mr. Stabby McStabb becasuse I don't like him). Lewis pled down to obstruction of justice in exchange for his testimony. In other words, he flipped on his two friends because he was fearful of being convicted of murder.

Lo and behold, the two defendants walked on self-defense, but Lewis was too scared to take the chance. From a legal standpoint, I totally get it; but it was his attitude in the immediate aftermath of the trial that made me dislike him for life. The spewing and the vitriol towards the families of the two dead men, how he was railroaded, how the media wronged him, how insulted he was that he was ever charged with anything instead of showing some humility that two guys were dead and his NFL career wasn't a pile of ashes. Some much for the Lord this, the Lord that, and of course we all had to be subjected to him falling on his knees on the field after the last Ravens SB win and seeing his asscrack which was followed up with some incoherent Jesus babble. You're religious, fine; but if you talk the talk and don't walk the walk, who wants to hear that. The Baker and Lollar famililes still hate him, and I don't blame them. As far as making no sense most of the time, he would definitely give Herm a run for his money. F Ray Lewis.

Ray Lewis is a phony. He said something about kissing his kids on the mouth, and then the camera showed the kids and they were all shaking their heads. He's a pretentious POS. I was traveling over the weekend and was listening to Philly radio, and they were roasting him. It was hilarious.

Lest we forget Michael Phelps being accompanied into and out of court by Ray Lewis after his last DWI. "Ray Lewis saved my life." OK, how about you saved your own life, thanks, yet stupidly paid a million dollars to a 12 Step Program (which is not science) that you could've gotten for free. Phelps was welling at Lewis' ranting at his HOF induction. I would've welled, too - because I was trying to hold back the hurling. It's really hard not t puke, and your eyes tear really bad. I love to rip the addiction industry apart - because that's what it is - an industry. I should start a thread on it just to watch how many people tell me that I'm wrong. Good luck with that.

The part where he mentioned. At the age of 10. Seeing his mother beat on by his father. And making a life promise to never let a man hurt his mom again. Man. I can't hate on the man I've never walked a mile in his shoes my mom as a child I never seen a man hurt her. My daughter Kloe is 7 I could never in a million years hurt the woman of my baby girl.

Man. The part where his baby brother didn't want him to leave him behind when he went off to college. He was scared to be without his big brother. Those emotions were real. His brother now a grown man couldn't fight back the tears. Those boys and that mother. Damn. They went through a lot.

I once knew a friend from elementary school. Come to find out both he and his mom were getting beaten on by a drunk. I remember the day the police & principal pulled him out of class 4th grade like it were yesterday. I guess he never recovered only few years later 9th grade of H.S a student found him overdosed dead on the bathroom floor; heroin.

Not so much his children but those scars left in Ray, his younger brother and their mother are real. Ray used it as a burning fire and a desire for greatness on that football field as a way out for him and his family.

He could've easily dropped out of school, joined a gang, got addicted to drugs all while praising and worshiping Lucifer the Devil.

We all make mistakes but to sit here and say his HOF speech was fake, phony not real etc the man didn't even have his words written down on a piece of paper. All his coaches showed up. His family. Best childhood friend who grew up flat broke within the slums of Florida. None of them had to show up. The love for his mom is real.

Do you see the size of this man? He could've grew up to be a Mike Tyson like animal. Who knocked old grandmothers out inside of elevators to steal their purse and money. He didn't stab or kill anyone either. He wasn't Charles Manson and order his friends to kill anyone.

Some people are making him out to be an evil man. I'm sorry but I don't see it. I see a man who's passionate, truly believes in God, has faith and stands for what he believes in.
