I like his pocket presence. At USC it was anticipatory and almost intuitive. He seems to have a strong work ethic as well. His footwork and funky delivery can be fixed.
I know what you’re referring to. Its a little hard to describe. There’s a bad Nicholas Cage movie where he knows what is going to happen a few seconds before it does. Darnold reminds me of that movie sometimes. You described it as intuitive but there’s no way to intuit what he is doing. I think that and his quiet charisma are what people are referring to as “the it factor.”
The difference between Hack, Petty & Sam is that there is more legit competition for Sam. They already know Sam has potential as shown in camp as opposed to waiting for Hack & Petty to show some signs of potential. And another point is Sam is here for the next 4 years so there is no need to rush him where as Hack & Petty were on there last leg and last year was do or die with the Jets. The Jets were already thinking QB in the '18 draft if Hack & Petty didn't show potential, where as the last thing the Jets are thinking about is QB in the '19 draft. I would like to see Sam win the job BUT I do not want to play him if he's not ready.
C'mon seriously, they can come out of that locker room however way they want , MK rifles firing , party hats, hula skirts, full metal jackets, whatever, how many times we've seen this team do that , especially on MNF, and fall flat on their butts? They can get wheel-chaired out onto the field for all I care as long as they perform like a playoff team from that point on. edit: I may be taking your statement above too literally. Anyway, the theatrics don't impress me.
If I wanted to talk to the site moderators, about the message board equivalent of a moment of silence for all the great things Manish has done, who would I go to?!
Funny part is those who claim to hate Manish and stopped reading him long ago somehow managed to open the thread & read a long article written by the POS. Lol
I may be a homer at heart but I've never once as a fan complained about a Jets beat writer over their journalism. Be honest. These guys are professional writers for a starved franchise that's yet to make a SB appearance dating back to 1968-1969 and has not had a Franchise QB to write about since Joe Namath. So yes. Of course. They've been forced to vent, complain, and write about all of the bad consisting of doom and gloom for all of these years. So maybe it feels good to these writer's to finally have something potentially good to write about. If we become a N.E type of SB winning franchise that's when I'll say enough is enough with writers not praising us. Until then. Have at it. I understand it. These guys are not paid to make us feel good; that's our F.O's job.
The Rock was awesome, but that was mainly because of Sean Connery, Ed Harris, and the great score by Hans Zimmer.
Did someone say Darnold has the "X" factor? ......when was that?.... http://forums.theganggreen.com/thre...s-discussion-thread.88953/page-9#post-3601852
