Here's my final suggestion to you: Go back and read post #91 again; read it slowly; read it again. If you still think it was written about trophies along the sidelines, trophies that can teach young players, then please put me on your ignore list. This latest post of yours makes even less sense than the ones before it. Nobody here made any reference to how the Jets developed QBs in the past - not me, not NYJ012 who made the post to which you responded. The reference was to the Jets current coaching staff and how they are not "Lombardi-like." By now you should have clearly taken a "mea culpa," it happens - people read things fast and don't understand what they read but usually they man up and move on. If you still have a hard time understanding this concept post back and maybe somebody else can explain it to you, Sonny.
What do you actually add to the conversation other than snide remarks? Who made you the fucking internet cop of the month?
LOL The Hurricanes introduced their new HC on the news last night or the night before. He won a Stanley Cup as a player with the Hurricanes several years ago. Brind-amour (or something like that) is the new HC. He sounded as dumb as a stump, kept looking away from the camera for some reason. In case you're wondering I haven't kept up with hockey since I was a kid. Anything involving ice and skates isn't a sport in my book.
As I figured, the poster you're responding to is obviously about 18-25 years old, thinks he knows everything, yet he doesn't know who Vince Lombardi was or what "pro ready" means. Jets fans. ROFLMAO! You can't make this stuff up.
I hope that you're being facetious. Players have bad days, even bad Pro Days. The fact that Teddy had a bad Pro Day doesn't mean that he wasn't "pro ready." smh
I guess everyone who knows about Vince Lombardi should just "shut up" because he apparently is now an afterthought to the Super Bowl trophy.
I actually love hockey. Huge Islanders fan. One of my best sports experiences was being a game that thankfully was a relatively empty stadium, and we moved up to the front only a few rows behind the glass. It isn't until you are that close to the rink that you can really appreciate the speed and balance NHL players have. They are really amazing athletes to me. That was a lot of fun. Also as a kid was at an Islanders Rangers game where a full section brawl broke out. The only thing I've seen at a game that was crazier than that was the one XFL game I went to, some giant juicehead was standing on the stairs challenging everyone to a fight. Some random dude was walking up, oblivious to what was happening and probably either going to take a piss or get a hot dog, when big juicer guy drop kicks him and hell breaks loose. That was nuts. Then there was the Jets Dolphins game where a Dolphins fan was just sitting there watching the game, not being a dick like most opposing fans, and a bunch of Jets fans were ragging on him for a Dolphins beanie he was wearing, yelling shit like "did your grandmother knit that for you?". He ended up taking an open mustard packet to the face. Then there was the time I met two very nice Raiders fans, by the first names of Hardkore and Assassin. Wonder whatever happened to those two. Then the only fist fight I've ever been involved in at a game where a Redskins fan took issue with my screaming at the refs after a terrible penalty. Guy was probably drunk and immediately got up and started taking swings at me, and the fight was on. Yellow jackets escorted him out to the tune of "Asshole! Asshole! Asshole!". I love going to sports games. Don't really know where I'm going with this so will stop now.
I was joking when I said said that anything involving ice and skates isn't a sport. There was actually a minor league hockey team around when I was growing up, the Greensboro Generals. I went to about 5 of their games over a 2-3 year period and enjoyed them. When I was a teenager, I actually got into hockey for a while and rooted for the Boston Bruins of Orr and Esposito. They are amazing athletes the way they glide so easily and quickly on the ice and can maneuver so deftly.
