It seems like all the players the Jets drafted this year jump off the screen when you watch their college tape highlights. It’s kind of bizarre. I am really excited to watch the 6th rounders this year. I mean are you kidding me? Watch the tape on these guys they’re super explosive.

On paper it looks like a decent draft class, but none of it will matter unless one of those guys develops.

Lets face it, as long as Darnold is the real deal we will look at any other player from this draft contributing as icing on the cake.

Last year's draft could potentially turn out to be a good one too. Two starters in Adams and Maye and potentially two more in Stewart and Leggett. Other than that jackass Donahue, I think every pick in that draft class is going to make the roster. Remember when we'd cut half of our draft during their first year with Idzik and Tanny? lol

That was my point. He is the only one that HAS to become something.

I'm willing to give the guys we selected a chance to prove themselves on the field before calling any of them a bust. That said, I still wish we would've gone OL or pass rusher in the 3rd round and didn't trade out of the 5th. As mentioned in this thread, if Darnold becomes the FQB we've long been waiting for, this draft will turn out to be a big success.

Another bag of groceries delivered by Mac to Bowles --this year from Wegmans complete with delicacies like Sam Darnold

What is our Chief Cook and Bottle Washer recipe for success going forward ?

And conversely, it won't matter if every other player Mac drafted this year becomes a solid player if Darnold isn't the real deal.

I won't say this is the best draft the Jets have ever had. Who can tell right now? And not having a #2 selection hurts in comparing with past drafts. However, I will say as a whole, this was the most exciting draft for the entire league because of the level of talent at QB coming out.

Not true. Sam Darnold is the polarizing pick, but if a couple of players go elite, like Shepherd and Nickerson, they will survive the draft. Even if Darnold busts, which he likely won't.

Just look at things statistically and historically your first and second rounders have the greatest chance of making it at the NFL level. Third round , fair and so on down the line.

Plus there are always busts at any Round..look at Sec Round Hack ..I doubt he stays on the Team

On paper, on tape ..yes they are good fines the Perry guy Flowers Etc

    Grades by round: #1 Sam D A
    #3 Shepard B-
    Herndon C+
    Nickerson A
    Fatukasi B-
    Cannon C+

    Average >>>>B Minus Class

    UDFA

Standouts are Imo : Flowers, And maybe the kid from Stony b Beverrete who I saw play and Lord H DT from Columbia who was coached up to win /share Ivy L

    The others have no idea

For these UDFA guys let's hope we find a miracle stud

    THIRD FACTOR

Getting Coached by Toilet Bowles and Company ..WELL GOOd LUCK WITH THAT

Lord Hyemang has already been cut. If he works out, it will be somewhere else.

I can't understand how people can grade this draft class, they haven't played a second in an actual NFL game.

You can say " I like the pick, and their potential", but grading now is pointless.

That right. Right now we need to concentrate on pre season power rankings.
