I have never been on the pot but your lack of syntax, spelling, grammar and punctuation would indicate otherwise.
You're the last guy who should be making that argument... "QB is the only position in organized sports that truly matters."
wrong - we would have drafted BAD safeties or d-line men in keeping with our traditions in respect of second round picks. based on history us giving away 3 second round picks is the equivalent of giving away one marginal player
Eagles gave up 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th round picks to go from #8 to #2 to get the (arguably) #1 QB prospect - does anyone think they are complaining about it now? It costs a lot to go get a QB
Yea the same pattern that literally player ever drafted takes until the day they actually become the player they’ll be.
No regrets at all it was a great move but it does suck having one day two pick and it’s a project. Why Does Mac get cute
If he turns out to be our QB for the next 10+ years nobody will remember nor care what it took to get the kid.
'Cause Jets fans gonna Jets fan. It's like finding a $10 bill blowing down the street. "Goddamn it, it's not a $100 (tears it up)!"
I was curious about the Colts decision to trade out so early for so little. I think you’re right, but they have a real shitty front office and were trying to beat the Giants to getting a good haul.
They got good value. If they had they waited and 2 QBs were off the board, they may have gotten less.
I think that would’ve pumped the premium up even more. I don’t think a lot of teams wanted anything to do with Allen in the first round so they may have scrambled to get the last of the top 3. Either way they might've gotten 3-4 #1’s if they knew Darnold would be there.
Obviously. The point is what they could have gotten as the draft actually unfolded. What they could have gotten if the draft went differently isn’t even a hypothetical it’s simply fantasy.
If we waited until the Colts were on the clock (and we weren't outbid) by the Bills/Cards we would have had to give up the #6 pick 2 seconds and next years first
the history of our second round picks is not good (to keep it short the last 10 years): 2016 - Hackenburg 2015 - Devin Smith 2014 - Jace Amaro 2013 - Geno Smith 2012 - Stephen Hill 2010 - Vladamir Ducasse No second rounders the other years - please point to the great second round picks we have made in that time.
