To be fair, defensive line was very close to offensive line, in terms of need. We have no depth. I'm always a fan of taking defensive linemen with good motors. I wanna see him play.

Most of the hate comes from those that know fuck nothing about the guy, and have their butts hurt because we did not pick an OL. The guy was on a bunch of draft teams board, and after watching the videos I'm all in for him to succeed. His work ethic along makes Mo look like HE was the big wasted pick once upon a time. And yes we need OL, and OLB, and DL as well.

could have probably picked a younger D line men off the free agency scrap heap. I just will never see the value of taking a D line men when you have so many other needs especially when that other need includes protecting your new franchise QB
IMO, that is a good bet when it comes to defensive lineman. A lot of super physically talented DL picks end up busting in the NFL, because it takes so much energy/effort to be a great defensive lineman in the NFL. A lot of guys don't have the passion/work ethic. Motor is a big thing on the line.
I don't follow college football. What is the logic in taking a D2 guy? Not necessarily shitting on it, just seems kinda crazy at face value. I mean he looks nice on highlights against D2 guys but he won't be playing against them in the NFL.
