Following are some players any of whom I'd be very happy to see the Jets draft. Rounds are approximate based on projections I've read. Some of the players could go a round earlier or later.

    1st round

    Baker Mayfield, QB, Oklahoma
    Josh Rosen, QB, UCLA

    3rd round
    Frank Ragnow, C/OG, Arkansas
    James Daniels, C, Iowa
    Hayden Hurst, TE, South Carolina
    Dalton Schultz, TE, Stanford
    Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, OLB/Edge Rusher, Oklahoma
    Anthony Averett, Slot CB, Alabama
    Da'Shawn Hand, DE, Alabama
    Josh Sweat, OLB, Florida St.
Orlando Brown, OT, Oklahoma (if they think they can motivate him)
Rashaad Penny, RB/Return Man, San Diego St.
    Martinas Rankin, C, Mississippi St.
    Brian O'Neill, OT, Pittsburgh
    Scott Quessenberry, C, UCLA
    Royce Freeman, RB, Oregon

    4th Round
    Shaquem Griffin, OLB, UCF
    Uchenna Nwosu, OLB, USC

    5th Round
    Troy Fumagalli, TE, Wisconsin
    Tyler Conklin, TE, Central Michigan

    6th Round
    Folorunso Fatukasi, DT/DE, Connecticut
    Dimitri Flowers, FB, Oklahoma

    7th Round
    Avante Maddox, CB, Pittsburgh
    Greg Stroman, CB, Virginia Tech

Hey you said you hated my latest mock, I picked Hand in the 3rd and Maddux in the 7th!!!! Think you got too hung up on the 1st round selection. :)

I have Ragnow too. But I’ve seen him mocked in the first now.

I think if we go Rosen, we take his center, Quas if Rag is off board.

If I have to take someone you listed here are my picks!!

    1st rd- Rosen
very upsetting only 2 options, I’ll take the better of the two evils.

    3rd rd- Hand
    Run stuffing DE, love him.

    4th rd - Shaq Griffin
We need the pass rusher and possibly my favorite prospect in this draft. I really thinks he starts in the NFL for awhile.

    5th rd Conklin
Don’t really want a TE this draft, I’ll take who I think has more potential.

    6th rd Fatukasi
I really don’t want a fullback so I’ll add Dline depth.

    7th rd Maddux
Love his potential if he can develope.

    :)

Ragnow will probably cost us our third and fourth round picks but would be worth it.

Well, it was some of both. I don't remember, so I'll have to go back and look, but I did hate much of your draft, but it was mostly the 1st round pick. LOL I also have changed my mind on Hand and the Jets' need at DE. I had thought that they would have signed a FA DE, but still could.

Edit: I went back and looked. I don't like Darnold. The only top 4 QB I like less than him is Allen. That was mostly why I didn't like your draft.

I also am not that high on Noteboom, Fitts or Teuhema, although I will give you credit for addressing needs. Maddox, I didn't know, but thanks for pointing him out. I definitely think the Jets need to replace Skrine. IMO any one of Averett, Maddox, or Stroman could possibly replace Skrine, and they could also serve on STs.

I assume you mean that we'd have to trade up into the 2nd round to get him. Correct? If he falls to the 3rd, I think we have an excellent shot at getting him.

Griffin is a great story, and would be an inspirational player, but I'm not certain that he can make it in the NFL with only one hand. I will be rooting for him like crazy, regardless of where he goes.

This would be a nice draft, and possibly a very good one. Even though I've changed my mind somewhat about Hand, I'd rather have Ragnow or Daniels or any of the players I listed in the 3rd round (except the last 4) rather than Hand, but wouldn't be upset if he was the pick. I'd just rather upgrade the OL, the TE position, or add a raw, but speedy and very talented pass-rushing prospect, or get a new slot CB prospect than add a DE.

We'll probably be ok at TE, Conklin has less potential imo than Hurst or Schultz.

I can understand not wanting a FB, but he has been a pretty big part of OK's offense, and particularly when we draft Mayfield, it would be nice to give him a player that he has chemistry with already, who would give him added protection on passing downs, be a good safety valve, and who would help the rushing attack.

Last month you would be right but some consider him to be the best center and he seems to have clawed his way into round two.

He would be a great pickup for us even if we have to move up.

Latest buzz is that Ragnow is a lock for round one.

If Price or Ragnow get anywhere near our 3rd pick it is definitely worth jumping up a bit. Probably won't happen.

I think that Bradley Bozeman would be a good pick-up in Rounds 4-6. Played C at Alabama but can play other positions along the line. 6-5, 314 lbs would make a good depth player at worst.

I have read that Price and Ragnow are both climbing the Draft Board and neither may be there for Round 3.

Love the guys listed here. I would love to see us take multiple o-linemen after we go Mayfield/Rosen/Darnold in round 1.

I heard Arden Key might slide as far as round four.

If he plays like he did in 2016 he would be a steal for us in round three.

The draft reports I've read on Bozeman have not been very positive. Usually Alabama players are hyped up, but according to those reports, he's not very athletic and his ceiling is being a depth-type player. At the C position, 'd rather add someone who can push for the starting job, which means we'll probably have to take one in the 2nd round or 1st.
