Just listened to SNY podcast and heard two scenarios I can see happening. Dan Orlovsky said the Jets could take Mayfield for the sole purpose he plants his feet when he throws like John Elway did. The craziest analogy I've heard yet. of a prospect. He said Rosen was a tough kid and a gamer. Look at the Texas A&M game where he was beaten down for 3 quarters and kept getting up. Eventually, he climbs back and won the game. He thought his passion and toughness were great qualities. You know stuff people don't talk about with prospect. With most its all about his 40 times and how many times they lift 225 lbeees.

Ok, when Willie Colon speaks this is when it got crazy. He said if Darnold or Rosen go 1&2 he can see the Jets taking Chubb. I can see the Jets doing that very same thing because there are morons running it right now. This would have Bowels stink all over just like the idiotic back to back safeties last year. It would explain bringing back McCown, bringing in Bridgewater and not cutting Petty or Hackenberg yet. They may feel they are set at QB for a playoff run (yeah right). This would be a disaster scenario. I can't see anyone being thrilled with this and its, not like the Jets defense is one player away. They are just not that good in all phases of football.

The Jets did not trade up for a DE. Willie Colon is jsut bat shit crazy. Orlovsky is just trying to make a connection between Baker and Bates through Elway and the shanahan offense. That offense does like Mobile QB's who can throw on the run and are good at play action passing. So skill set wise Baker is a good fit.

If you want to hear more from Orlovsky listen to the "Play like a Jet" podcast's series on getting to know the QB's. They bring in Dan ( a former NFL qb), Mark Schofield who I belive runs locked on Patriots, and Jim Cobern who's an analytics guy as well as a beat writer from each kids school for the episodes. They are all about an hour long and have some interesting stuff.

    My advice is:

    1. Take 2 deep breaths.
    2. Get a gun
    3. Point it.
    4. Shoot your computer. Keep shooting until it stops telling you things like this.
    5. Go enjoy Life
    6. Everything will then be ok.

P.S. you can substitute a giant hammer for the gun and it might prove to be more satisfying.
Double P.S. I think I have been reading a bit too much of the advice being offered by Mrs. Championship69 in the BS forum (which I recommend everyone read). But, this really does seem to be a rational and appropriate solution to your problem.
Triple P.S. This is sarcasm. Don't really do any of this. If you do have a gun throw it away before you hurt someone. The same if you have a Giant Hammer.

Can't wait for the draft to be over so the nonsense threads stop.

The only player in this draft I feel is a slam dunk to be awesome is Quenton Nelson. Even Barkley, as amazing as he is, probably doesn't want to be behind a shaky o line.

I was not a proponent or a hater of the sign Kirk Cousins crowd but if we had then I would have loved adding Nelson at 6. Nelson, Cousins and our 3 2nd picks vs. a drafted QB is quite an interesting thought.

I agree on Nelson. Would have loved to take him at 6 instead of going all in on some shaky qb prospect. That doesn’t change my ranking though and Chubb in this defense makes it scary. I know the w or bust crowd would hate it(and that makes me love it more, sorry, I find angst and despair to be delicious) but other than the fact that we gave up the 3 2’s Chubb makes great sense for us.

Its insane to pick a QB based on Bates. This is the Jets third OC in three years! Just pick the best QB. If Rosen is available it should be a no brainer.

Certainly that is one of the advantages of Rosen over Mayfield as Rosen fits any system. He is more of a "plug and play" QB.

If Rosen and Darnold go 1-2 the Jets are taking Mayfield at #3. I'm about 95% sure that is the case. It's the scenario in which Mac gets to keep his job for another couple of years.

The Jets could hit on Chubb or Barkley and still lose 12 games next year for a massive flush out at the end of the season. They need the hope that a young QB brings to the fan base right now, especially after the big trade up. The value the Jets gave up for the #3 is substantially higher than the value Ditka gave up to draft Rickey Williams.

If our qbs go 1 and two and we aren't taking one. Trade trade and trade some more. This team needs so much. Get Jackson or Rudolph later. Realistically the Jets will get one of the 3 of the 4 qbs. If they traded up for a d end we should all burn our tickets and become Packer fans. Plus Mac and Bowles should be escorted out right then and there and put in the middle of the draft day party and whatever happens happens.

There is 0.00000% chance we are drafting Chubb at 3. If this happens, I'll buy a custom authentic Vernon Gholston jersey. That's how confident I am.

How much can such a jersey cost?

I think custom authentic jerseys are $250 on NFL Shop. Shit, I'll buy two if we draft Chubb.

Do they really still make and sell new Gholston jerseys? I was guessing ebay would be your only alternative which would have to be very cheap.
