Seriously thought they would find a way to keep him. I assumed Brady would push to keep one of his most trusted lineman. Not saying this is the end but not a good look for BB to let him walk, especially with all the supposed turmoil in Foxborough.

Patriots already drafted Solder's replacement last year, they better hope he's ready now

The Pats have let go of several productive players over the last 18 years that make you scratch your head at first and then you see why. Remember how they cut Lawyer Malloy right before the season started in 2003?

Tough to lose a good LT. But the guy was a Pro Bowl alternate once in the last 3 years. Making him the top paid LT in the NFL is nutty, and there is no way that BB would set the market like that. It does present a large hole to fill, but we'll see how that goes.

Nate was a good Patriot and is a great person off the field. I'm glad for him and his family.

that's how free agency works. you don't need to be the best in the NFL you just need to be a top 10 and best available and you'll be paid the highest. rarely is a player the highest paid at their position for more then 2 years. next year some LT will get more money the solder.

that's why i never got the cousins complaining, yes he's the highest paid now, but next year rodgers and ryan will top him, and after that year cam will top them. that's the economy of the NFL. many fans don't really understand this

I doubt his new contract will look anything like his last one.

He was a good to very good player in his prime, I just never saw an elite LT there. Every year is the same, the Patriots will rarely over pay for performance and more than likely have a comparable replacement either on hand, or in the works.

Solder also is about to hit 30 it would be hilarious if the Vagiants signed him right as he started to decline.

Hahaha. Didn't Danny Amendola land in Miami? Hopefully it was via United Airlines. Good luck in Shitsville, you cheating POS. I guess they needed a Danny ('Breaking Bad' reference).

Well if he really wanted to go to Shitsville he would have landed with the Jets.

Okay. I am not going to edit your message. There was nobody attacking you in this thread. They were discussing Danny Amendola to Dolphins. Your response is uncalled for. I told you many times that you are on a Jets board. I hate to do this but I will have to bench you for a week. Please come back and when you do please try to keep your emotions in check and discuss football respectfully.
