Mmmmm I don't know about the Giants not taking Barkley. Saquon + Odell that's a Lethal Combination is very tempting.

Sorry, IMHO past 2nd round failures shouldn't have any bearing on this trade.

I would rather have a QB. I love Barkley, but idk if I would be happy trading up for him. We really need that QB.

No dumbass, but I'm not gonna be a pessimistic cry baby and manufacture bullshit to project shit into the future either. Sheldon hasn't done anything in a while now but let's cry a river forever anyway. Now you're calling that a bad trade and that's ridiculous. There isn't a fucking thing that he would do that you wouldn't second guess and bring some shit from ancient history to show you know better. Some guys refuse to be positive about anything or just don't have the vision to see how things could unfold for the better. It's going for the gold, it's a risk. So what. No risk no reward. It's having vision forward not looking back. You'll preach the history when it's said and done tho.

If Mac did this without loving three qb, then yeah it's a terrible trade. Plan c in your scenario is the best passer in the draft so yeah 'd say he's worth a trade up

Prisoner of the moment, but I can't hate the trade. You can't be cheap when it comes to planning for a FQB. I'm very happy we didn't part ways with the 2019 1st rounder.

Arguments sake, Darnold to CLE, Barkley to Giants, boom.... have your pick at Rosen or Baker.

Exactly....even if we do hit on a franchise QB (which is a big IF) we have now traded away essentially 3 building blocks on rookie contracts

Let's just call it what it is.....This regime has been a failure overall and got us ZERO at QB for 3 straight seasons. This is all they can cling to now to save their jobs

And still we complain! The Jets are getting Mayfield and dumping Hackenberg, obviously. What more do you want?

    This is why you tank

This is why you play hack last 8 games and you are picking 3 for free....

    But

    Anyway, I think it’s a good move!!!

Get rich or die trying. Props Mac having some conviction

The only way this is a win is IF Mac picks the right guy,,,,I just don't trust him to do it. I am all in on the move IF we got the FQB but not only can I see Mac blowing this pick but are any of you Positive this was for a qb ? I will lose my shit if this is NOT for a qb !!!!!

The only one left would've been Lamar Jackson.

Sure, but that’s inherent in the draft and thus all draft pick trades would be bad trades based on that criteria. But you don’t avoid trading up to get the player you want (and expect to be what you believe he will be) because over a 7 round draft the odds are a player will be drafted later that will turn out to be equally as good or better.

Yeah the 2nd round failure argument is dumb as hell

What about all the top 10 busts we have? What about the last franchise QB we traded up for?

What the Jets gave up last time to move up to take Sanchez was miniscule compared to this year's trade. The issue that Sanchez didn't live up to his billing doesn't negate the fact that the trade itself was reasonable.

All we had to do was lose 2 more games and we're not in this position. When is 3-13 better than 5-11? Draft day.

I'm ok with this. Its a lot to give up, but if they get the right guy I think it was worth it. Not terribly concerned with asj walking, because I still believe Leggett could be better than asj if he takes the next step. That next step being the one onto the field instead of a doctor's office.
    Need a pass rusher.
