Before the draft and after Mac's current free agency, I will say we are headed for 7 to 8 wins. Progress. Lol
No way...Because he will likely draft a QB in round 1 who won't see the field this year .....like most of the QBs he drafts. So we won't get any production out of round 1 this year.
Long term it doesn't matter if the rookie QB starts in 2018 or not. If sitting a year or two improves the odds of him being a player sit him. It'll be a QB no doubt about it I think.
Not sounding confident there Warrior lol. I don't trust Macc. He thinks he's smarter than everyone but his picks says different. It was a mistake hiring him and Bowles.
I have serious doubts about him as well but he's here so what can we do? Hope he does the best job possible. I hope the law of averages works in our favor with this pick. They've drafted so many terrible QBs in recent years they're overdue to hit on one. This QB pick goes beyond MacCagnan I think even if he gets fired at some point in the future if he hits on a QB it sets up future NYJ regimes to have success.
I take back what I said about Mac being risk averse. I made my post before I knew about the Jets trade up to No. 3 overall. That took some balls. We have hope for the future now.
MIKE McCaggnan IS THE GREATEST GM IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD!!! Well, okay, he finally got off his ass and went for broke. Still, good job Macc! Maybe being a little greedy on my part, but how about trying to trade up with the Giants now?
We're better than last year, but we should have gone 3-13 last year. If Petty and Hack were our QBs we could have gone 0-16. So it isn't a stretch that we go 5-11 again this year.
Yes Well, then until we have a new one who is better than or equal to ASJ, this is a downgrade. Same comment as above on ASJ. The kicker is a downgrade because the one we had last year was good, and the one we just signed couldn't stay on a roster last year. I didn't say it was a downgrade. I simply said that we don't know anything about him right now other than that he missed a whole year with injuries and he wasn't a Pro Bowler before the injuries. So I'm not counting him as a massive upgrade until I'm sure he's actually capable of playing.
Everyone keeps on looking at certain positions and claiming we're better. For Christ sake look at the big picture. This team is not one single bit better than last year's 5-11 team. They still suck.
