Revis did, Lester Hayes and Mike Haynes did too. Took one side of the field out of play.

Ranked #1 in press coverage & 23 in off coverage
Sounds like a perfect fit because 90% of the time Bowles will have him in press coverage

But Bowles is not competent. Look for 50/50 being more realistic.

You are taking me very literally. If his strength is press, I want to see him press...a lot. I don't know what the statistics are as I don't have time to research them. I just want to see the dude press. Don't care what the rams did last year.

So it's basically a two year deal, as expected.

Correct me if I'm wrong here.... $20 mil signing plus the remaining $14 mil guaranteed means he carries a cap hit of about $11 mil his first two years?

I like this deal. One thing about Macc. He always finds a way to get out of the contract after 2 years. This is almost his staple now.

Agreed. Am I correct though in saying the $20 mil signing bonus gets spread out across the life of the contract? Manish also saying the first year cap hit is $10 mil so I think I am correct.

Asking the wrong guy Mo. I am a noob when it comes to NFL contracts. :) But we have experts here so they will answer your question I am sure.

I'm 99.9999% sure I'm right on this one. $10 mil the first year, $12 mil the second year, cap savings after the third. Great deal IMO.

Edit: Yep... click the link. Has the contract structure in it.

i get you. he will press trust me. just don't expect it every play like some other people here suggested
great deal. if he starts to decline after 30 we can cut him with little cap effect. if not we keep him at a reasonable salary.

yes 20 mil signing bonus means 4 mil per year against the cap (5 year deal) so if we cut him after year 2 it's 12mil dead money, after year 3 8mil dead money, after 4, 4 mil dead money

revis followed the number 1 for us in his prime, but he wans't always in press. know the game situation. it's like saying the QB always operated under center, that's not true. sometimes you run shotgun.

That analogy if you want to call it that makes no sense.

Sung to the the tune of Jimmy crack corn, and I don't care. It was there. It's also a horrid song, but Jets . . . horridness . . . Not averse to the signing, but he'll probably break his leg getting out of a limo before the ink is dry. I must try to use my iron will to think positively!

English not your strong point either, it's "talk smack" in the common vernacular, unless of course you are a big Smash Bros. player.
