We grab him him and draft a QB @6 gonna be whole lotta psyched fans. Better draft two OLinemen tho right after.

Sounds like a plan either way

We definitely need to go QB, but Chubb is pretty darned good. Davenport has a lot of potential as well. Okoronkwo is raw, but fast and pretty athletic. Both Davenport and Chubb will probably go in the 1st round, although Davenport may slide to the 2nd (but I doubt it). Okoronkw will probably go 2nd round, but could be there in the 3rd. If he's there at our pick in the 3rd, he could wind up being a great add. Greene could turn him into a beast.

At least one area We improved and that is filling CBs. Going to the draft, can focus just getting one DB and trying to cover other areas.

Or it's a smokescreen and we're taking Minkah Fitspatrick.

I was wondering about this. What is Skrine's cap hit if cut? He is making $8.5 million, right? If the hit isn't too bad, it is a slam dunk to cut him and use the money for the Honey Badger. Not sure the cap hit though.

If we cut Skrine, we save $6 million on the cap, but take a $2.5 million dead money hit.

What's with all these one year deals I don't get it? Why not two at a minimum? That way they don't have to repeat this process again in 12 months.

Has MacCagnan turned my Jets into such a undesirable destination for free agents that that's all he can get guys signed to?

Am I missing something here? The only other one year deal is a 39 year old backup QB.

I don't know Tyrann Mathieu's interest, but if he is then I would sign him and cut Skrine. Say he signs for $10 million, it would basically be like like paying $4.5 million for a much better player. They have the cap to do it.

Meh......would have preferred the Honey Badger. So far we get a broken Teddy Bridgewater an overrated cornerback and the #49 ranked RB on profootball focus. The stars have aligned

Oh yea, duh. But that contract also makes sense. The only one that bothers me is Mo because if he were under contract for at least two years we’d literally never have to think about the secondary til 2020 barring major injury.

Claiborne needs to prove he can play a full season healthy before he gets a multi year deal. Might never happen.

Good player. Jets should sign him no doubt.

I like Skrine too keep him.
