Oh, I realize it's a very distinct possibility.... doesnt mean I like it.*
Now granted if they grab a top flight bluechip guy @6, then luck into Lamar Jackson i the 2nd, I'd be more than fine with that

yes 10m is steep coin but they have NO choice. this tells me they were all in for cousins and had no alternative plans for any of the other free agent qb's.

and yes bwater will back up mccown to start unless he wows in camp and his leg doesnt fall off.

a rookie QB - who knows. i hope this doesn't take the aggressiveness out of the draft for them. they really need to go get their guy in the top 5. i dont trust the draft and teams will always be more apt to take the QB in order to save face with the fans and ownership. it is still very conceivable to see 4 QB's taken in the top 5 next month unless one of them films a blunt or bong fixed to their skull.

In our eyes, no. But when you consider that he probably had the best season of his career..... and that Sam Bradford is getting DOUBLE that amount basically just shows how crazy shit is getting

Classic Jets move, now if this team signs Bridgewater it word be the cherry on the cake, it would make zero sense, draft a QB in round #1 , I can understand McCown mentor the rookie, but he'll NO to Bridgewater

That is exactly what's being said about their #6 pick in an article on NFL site. ONLY the Jets... They should change uniform colors with the Browns because from the Owner, to Front Office, to coaches they look like a heaping pile of Brown shit.

Signing Bridgewater would open the Jets' options at the sport's most important position. He's young enough at age 25 that New York could opt to revisit veteran Josh McCown as an insurance policy and coach lite in the quarterbacks room. Under that scenario, general manager Mike Maccagnan would have the luxury of drafting the best player available at No. 6 overall rather than forcing a quarterback selection.

but u still have to figure the back up and rookie salary so the position would have tied up closer to 40m with cousins.

He's better than Bridgewater. It makes sense.

Oh man Mac is really confusing me today.

If he doesn’t get a QB in April I’m done with him.

And whose idea was it to guarantee him the starting job after that fitz disaster? Learn from your mistakes!

5M for being a backup, 5M for being a QB coach

But why are you signing a 25 year old 1st round pick coming off a major injury to back up a 39 year old?

If you’re signing Bridgewater it’s for his upside as a starter, not as insurance...

Bridgewater + McCown. And the possibility of no qb in the draft. I'm going to be sick.

So we are drafting a QB? Wish I could give Mac benefit of doubt but he doesn’t deserve it

What do you mean what is going on here? It's been the same thing for four years now, did you expect anything different?

lmao in what world is a 25 year old w/ upside worse then a 39 year old with no upside left and is just as injury prone

Hopefully they just don't sign Bridgewater then and go QB in the first.

We would have $20 mil tied up to 1 position with 3 QBs if we use the #6 on a QB.
