Is there a good radar we can look at? weather.com is almost useless due to high traffic.

Here you go Brook...refresh it every so often and if its not moving...hit the loop button. As you can see from this radar...patience...like a wall...its coming.

    RADAR: https://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?rid=DIX&product=NCR&overlay=11101111&loop=yes

CHECK OUT that wall of yellow in central n.j. moving north. When it overruns the cold air up here...that's probably 3 inch an hour stuff..at least.

Patience boys and girls...its a comin.

How to read this radar. The light blue is about 1/4 to 1/2 inch an hour.
The green is at least 1" an hour and perhaps closer to 2.
The yellow is very rare for snowstorms..most of the time you see that in thunderstorms...and its over 3" an hour

Thanks Jay. I was about to ask for the color coding. Based on this I think we will be buried pretty soon. Thanks as always. You are the man.

NYC minutes away from being pounded...as is all north AND west of I95. Heavy precip shield within an hour of NY State and hour to hour and half from CT.

Updated radar...the wall of green cutting through NYC...follow that east and west and there is the heavy stuff

    UPDATED RADAR: https://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?product=NCR&rid=DIX&loop=yes

    Hey Jay,

Thanks for all the updates. You're awesome!

Can you provide a link to the long term thing? I want to forward it to a work contact who is planning on Monday activities.

Here is the CMC model but they are all pretty similar. The GFS has the heavy snow even a bit further NORTH..but bottom line this gives you the potential.

    For March 12 to 13...
